my totals a low and i am sorry... I was on-call last week, on Thursday i hurt my back, bad. The bad back doesn't stop me from riding my bike, but i haven't tried swimming and running. Tonight i am going to giving swmming a shot, tomorrow i'll try running.

I hope i don't let you guys down...

We don't want you hurting yourself further just because of this challenge. Injury is a approved reason for lowering your goals. Let me know if you want to lower your goals or even remove yourself from the challenge.

thanks i'll keep you posted....

Got in a run and a swim today, both in the gym.  It was cold and rainy so I ran on the treadmill.  It's supposed to be more of the same tomorrow, but I think I'm going to bundle up and suck it up and do the run outside.

Just a quick reminder to make sure that you are updating the new spreadsheet instead of the old one.  Looks like our old spreadsheet was updated more recently.  The new one is titled "East Coast Hipsters" while the old one is "PREV East Coast Hipsters".  The new one has different lines for each week, so just log the amount you do this week in the right spot and it will total them all correctly.

ok it looks like i need to change my goals... I was able to swim yesterday, but my back was hurting, but not that bad.  I had to use the pull buoy the entire time.

new goals.

Swim 15000 down from 20000
Run 25 miles down from 50miles -- this will be a challenge
Bike 16 hours keep this the same.

Sorry i had to make the change.

Okay, dr. yesterday said no biking or wralking. My goals are low so I think even if he does not release me until the last week, I should be able to get my bike and wralk in. So I'll be concentrating on my swimming for now.

Hey guys,

Just to let you know, I've moved the old spreadsheet into a different folder. I think some people may have been updating the wrong spreadsheet and I want to make sure that this doesn't happen, so that every team receives full credit for their effort!

Heya folks...thought I'd finally check in.

Things have been going really well for me.  I had my first ever 5k on Saturday and managed to run a whole mile for the first time ever in my life (I think my previous long distance was way closer to half a mile).  And I've made all my workouts so far this month so I'm really psyched about that.

I'm also going to have to change my goals due to injury (I PM'd Gilly already).  After my race, my slightly bad left achilles and right hip nagging pains have really flared up (I was hobbling worse than my 87 year old grandfather for a while there) so I need to give myself some time off from running.  So I changed my run and bike goals (upped the bike to compensate) to:

Run: 12 miles (down from 20 miles)
Bike: 13 hours (up from 10 hours)

Y'all have been doing really well and I'm really excited to be on such a great team this month.  I'll try to get in on the conversations a bit more now that work is settling down.

Congrats on your first 5k. I'm sorry that you are injured. Take care of yourself and don't hurt yourself further for the sake of this challenge!

I've made the change on the spreadsheet.

Got in a decent 5 mile run last night. Hope to get out on the bike for a long ride after work but not so sure I'm going to get the "support" I need so might turn into a long swim.

Congratulations on your first 5k, Kelley!!  Did you write a race report?

Take it easy and get the achilles healed.  We really don't want you to get injured more to do the challenge, so cutting back on your goals is smart.

Thanks and yes I did write one (on Monday when I got to work and finally had internet again).

My new run goal is only another 4 miles and I figure worse comes to worse, I'll just walk those.  I'm seriously cutting back on my running in prep for my first race in July and focusing on the bike anyway.  I figure the faster and easier I can get to the run, the more likely I am to be able to run parts of it, but if I have to, I'll walk it.  I'll finish either way

It would be really creepy if you said that about swimming. That's when we'd start looking for the pod.

I rarely get out for mid-week rides unless it's a bike commute.
