Attention Goddesses!!!!

Keep up the good work.  I was thinking of you ladies yesterday as I sweated through my Cycle Fest ride.  Anyone need to borrow 81 miles? LOL

I shot my wad last month, and I have 7 days bikeless coming up.  (Think running!)  I knew I couldn't play by the rules this month.  But as Kim said, lots of little rides add up to big miles.

Gear Goddesses rock!!!!

A funny thing is happening here, ladies.  I am finding that the more I ride my bike, the more I WANT to ride my bike.  I drove into work last night with enough clothes to get me through the rest of the week, and rode my bike to work this morning for the first time (5 miles). I have figured out the best routes to take me to 1) my swim tomorrow morning, 2) my 24 mile group ride meeting place tomorrow night after work   and 3) my 5 mile group run downtown on Thursday night after work.  I am hoping that the weather cooperates, because I really want to try this.   Anybody else getting this weird bike buzz?

Tania - you are inspiring me, I should ride my bike to go swimming tonight! That will add a few more miles to my totals. I know what you mean about wanting to ride all the time! For me, it's the worry of not making my goal that makes me want to ride all the time so I can meet my goal early and not have to worry about it. I just calculated my totals and I'm at 50% so I'm on target so far! I was looking at my rides that I have scheduled for myself for this month and my shortest ride is my sprint triathlon this Sunday, maybe I'll see if someone wants to stay afterward and do the course with me again! I guess that's bordering on insane! But we must win!

Time to get this thread back on top!

I reached the 200 mile mark tonight. Road through a horrible thunderstorm. But it was sooooo hot before the storm that the rain was welcome (even though I now feel as though I have little pit marks all over my arms and legs!).

I have 150 miles to go to reach my goal. 56 of that will be in the race on the 26th. The rest will be tough but I am determined to reach my goal. I really have to start tapering. This is going to be hard to do. But I figure that I have 4 days after the 1/2 to make up any mileage that I miss lol.

Malgal...in all seriousness...don't kill yourself the days AFTER your 1/2.  I did last year, an all day PiYo workshop (yeah yeah I know but it was darn HARD!) the day after my half, then taught spin the following night...thought I was gonna DIE!

Guess you'd better pack in those miles before your taper

Butt Kicking Time! I have a 60 minute ride, followed by a 30 minute ride scheduled for today that I refused to get out of bed to do this morning. Now I have to somehow squeeze it between packing for a trip to Seattle, boy's baseball practice, boys soccer game, cleaning up the house, etc. I think I can do it at 8pm tonight, but I REALLY DON'T WANT TO. Someone please motivate me to get my butt on that bike seat!

No, really Melissa, you have way to much to do. Don't let cycling interfere with your priorities. There will be plenty of time for bike riding after, say, July 1.

Ride Lots just a little!
