Subject: RE: St. Anthony's TriathlonWEDNESDAY NIGHT UPDATE!! OK peeps...here's the deal. I did some research in St. Pete tonight. Had dinner at Moon Under Water (an English Pub type place) and thought it might be a possibility. It's not. Food was good but they can't accomodate us and the selection wasn't nearly what we'd need to satisfy the diverse tastes. I visited Dan Marino's. OK, talk about a surprise! The entrees are between 12 and 20 bux, the apps are between 5 and 8, full bar, LARGE selection of food, and they can accomodate us. So I went ahead and made a tentative reservation. It can be cancelled with no problem, I just did this to keep our options open. They can accomodate a party of 50 to 55 with no problem but we have to be there at 5 and have to be done by 7. I need to know if this is feasible for you guys or if we should just stick with TooJay's. Either way, this is also a possibility for Friday's dinner. I know there will be a smaller group Friday so most places within walking distance are possible. There's also the Parkview Grill (I think that's what it was called) right next to Moon Under Water. We'll work that stuff out Friday. Honestly, I'd prefer Marino's over TooJay's for Saturday's dinner. It's inside, it's more comfortable, and we can be just as social. If y'all think the deli thing is better, we can still do that, we won't need a reservation for it but with 50 people the food will take a LONG time since they make their food per order. OK, that's it. So if Marino's doesn't work out, we'll stick with TooJay's. I'm assuming everyone who confirmed for Saturday will still be there. Let's still meet near TooJay's so we have a central location to get together. Marino's is right there almost next to it. My only concern is everyone getting there at 5. Is this possible? IMO the earlier the better since y'all need to get as much rest as possible. Jeff's research report concluded. Whew. |
