As of yet, nothing on that front, but today was the bombshell that the coworker who does not work would be moved out of the reptile area, leaving me as sole primary. On one hand,  I am very happy-- my animals will get much better care now, I will not be moved to other areas, etc. But on the other hand, it is going to be uncomfortably awkward at work now. He got on my case this afternoon when I asked a simple question... I get it, he's angry, feels mistreated, whatever, but seriously, treating me like crap (we'll, more than he usually does) is not cool. I am kind of a stress ball right now.

On another note, my left shoulder is REALLY sore! The thing is, it's not a muscle soreness, it's kind of a joint pain, but doesn't hurt in movement--like right now, it's sort of an achy, stinging pain--without movement or anything! Any ideas????? I would like to have a happy shoulder again.

Sorry about the Dallas zoo, Maybe it will still happen?

Shoulder sounds painful

A bit of retail therapy. I ordered two pairs of Pure Connect 2's because they were 50% off and I'm not crazy about the 3's.

I've been rockin' the flows lately and also just got a pair of drifts. I kind of feel like I can't go wrong with anything in the pure line.

Retail therapy in the form of Brooks Flows here, too.  Too good of a deal to pass up and I love the flows.  Connects I wear around as everyday shoes because they sometimes make my Achilles flare up.  I haven't tried any of the others in the pure line.

Oh you guys suck! What did 50% off make them $50?

Right now runningwarehouse.com has the 2s on liquidation for 59$.

Oooooh! I should snag some more!

so, isnt 45$ better than $59?

There ya go bein logical again. I need to check to see how long the brooks discount lasts.

I was told that there would be no math in triathlon!

And then came the splits, the sales, the thresholds, the paces…  Glad I didn't cut tooooo many classes.

It's heaven for a data junkie.

Had the most wonderful visit with Stace Face and her herd today (which is about to explode into more little herdlets!) as I always do here ... I haven't even written up our wonderful crazy tri adventure together (crap. IMNZ was today, which means I'm officially ONE YEAR BEHIND in writing race reports).

Good luck racers, heal soon disabled list people!

I'm still way behind on reading the posts, my in-laws are STILL here... They're not really doing anything that I can whinge about at the moment but I feel a bit like I've been locked out of my home and I'm drifting round with no place to relax and unwind.

Tri training is ok but nothing special at the moment, 2 weekends ago I had to go to Brisbane with the in-laws, last weekend I had to go to Brisbane for a conference and this weekend I'm working so not ideal for training.

I'm behind logging workouts because I can't get access to the laptop at home due to the home invasion!

Anyway, they're going to Sydney on Tuesday until Saturday then I think I've got one more week until I can go home and relax and walk around naked whenever I please...!

PS Talking of naked, my strength training is helping with that, and my cycling shirt sleeves are now too tight, pic's to follow (or maybe not..)

Yeah, girl!  Big congrats!!!  I'll have to read your report later, gotta get ready to go to hockey.  I have a game and then am taking my niece to the Bears.  Keep your fingers crossed that Titan doesn't hit too hard until I have her delivered safely back home.

Manatee Meet-up! Those dogs just amaze me with their size.  Herd seems like such an appropriate word...

Well, I survived my HM!  The course was actually Florida hilly - which surprised the hell out of me.  Conditions were great for a race and although I may have gotten a personal worse (i have a hard time remembering my times), I managed to get 3d in my AG   Post race activities were great, including craft beer served in 20oz cups.  I may have gotten a bit tipsy

Oh there is definitely still a chance--for both Dallas and Ft. Worth; zoos do tend to wait for a while before they interview/hire folks--anywhere from weeks to months!

Shoulder is still painful--in fact, more so--laterally raising it is fine, no pain; but raising my arm in the front just about makes me fall over it hurts so much...I don't understand this...

I'm finally able to post via iPhone. Not much to say. I'm ready for the weather to stabilize. That won't happen any time soon. It's 70 degrees and ice and sleet is for foecast for early tomorrow morning.
Some study recently discovered that my little area or the big blue marble is the most tornado prone place in the world. We get more of the f4's and f5's that any place else and that includes the Mid West.

Making slow progress with the ITB.  Stretching and using the foam roller are making a big difference.  I hadn't realized that I had gotten so inflexible.  Starting to pull back a lot of flexibility that I used to have.  Especially with the hammys.

Hopefully I can get back to some semblance of normal training this week.

Morning all, happy Monday. Changing jobs and company travel have been rough on the BT participation and my workouts. Hope this finds you all healthy, recovering, and training well. I'll catch up on the news and join in.

I did some serious running this weekend as well as some serious laziness. I have this huge adult-sized bean bag J got me for Christmas where I spent literally 4+ hours Saturday veggin'

It was a much needed mental (and physical break.)

I'm a happy camper today

Also ... I guess I am a little curious about Jantastic.

I've been logging my runs but I am having a hard time seeing the benefit? It's not clear what our team position is or even individual. Other than that I guess it's just an accountability thing?

I've been doing the same and also am not sure if it is anything but accountability. Although, I thought there were random prizes given out- which is why I signed up
