ChrisM - 2012-06-24 11:04 AM Well, almost got it. Went 2:31:48. Swim was longer this year Last year lots of guys went sub 20 (was short) this year no one did, and my swim was about 5 minutes slower. Would have easily gone sub 2:30 on that ourse. I am in the same swim shape......But did set an oly PR by just about 6 minutes (actually, 11 since I added 5 to the swim ), and if the 10k was accurate (should be, it's an out and back) set a 10k pr whether in an oly or open. Good day! 13/43 AG

Great job

Had a pretty eventful ride.  5 of us were supposed to meet up with our teams strongest rider to do a long 80ish mile ride.  Turns out nobody told him we were coming, so he took off early on his own.  Not the worst thing in the world as we could ride our own pace.  We had a couple of flats, then my rear shifter broke...the paddle broke clean off (SRAM Rival).  It's not the first time it happened either.  Managed to make cable adjustments so I could ride in my 17t cog, so I got in some pretty high cadence work as we were riding with a strong tailwind.  Got to a major hill, so had to make more adjustments to put me in my 23t...then back to the 17.  Still a good ride though.

As much as I love SRAM...I'm not caring for the issues it has been causing me.  My LBS is pretty sure they will be able to warranty it as they did last time, but I told them to push for me to get an upgrade to Force as Rival just seems to flimsy to me.  I believe Rival is lighter than Ultegra, but I guess there were comprimises made in durability.

tasr - 2012-06-24 6:52 AMI joined Strava yesterday.

My username is James Rokowski

I can’t up load an avatar.  Maybe the free version doesn’t allow that.  I don’t get the Segment thing.  Also the elevation in my rides went up.  Got to go run now will play around with it later.
. You can load an avatar in the free version under profile. My pic is from the Westernport wall.

Got my avatar loaded in Strava.  There is a bug in ie 8 to up load pictures so I uploaded thru Google Chrome.

Joined the BT group and I see Bryan joined.

Found a local Bike racing team in Strava maybe that’s the push to start racing again.

Easy day for me today a bit fatigued from last weeks volume increase and the weekends intensity.

Fred is a beast

What the heck is that?  Care to explain Fred?

Your watts are pretty low considering most likely a head wind all the way.

Maybe this should be Fred's Strava avatar?

After an appointment with the doctor today i am going to get caught up with the group.. I am going to need a little "mentoring," I think.

what ? It's obvious.

He biked to California, swam across the ocean and run across Australia on 415 calories.

He's ready for IMMT.One could say he's pretty metabolically efficient.

Great race Chris..congrats on the PR!

I raced a 15K Saturday morning.  I definitely felt flat from the beginning and was pretty much a sufferfest all the way.  Happy I was able to push through but not the time I was hoping for.  1:00:18 is a PR but felt I was in sub 60 shape.  I just did not feel sharp but not every race can be great I guess.

Headed to Cleveland for an evening meeting tonight.  Planning to go for a trail run on the Buckeye Trail in Cuyahoga National Forest as it is supposed to be very nice and home to a 50K race.  I am going to bring my camera along.

I signed up for Strava but my outdoor riding has been pretty lame this year.

i cant get the widget thingy to work Fred, but i am following you Marc and Chris now

and as i read down the page, i added James and Jason!!

. Yeah it was working, but not now. BT conspiracy thingy I guess. It's called 'BT Mentor Strava group'. Just search for it.

Ok...I'm going to kick myself when someone posts the answer and I realize it was right in front of my face...but where do I search for the group.  I clicked on the "clubs" tab and searched, but could not find it.  Searched under athletes and couldn't find it either.

Congrats Chris!

Signed up to Strava and after some searching I finally found you all (I think, if I missed anyone let me know) and the group!

Since all my cycling is indoors for the next few weeks it will only be my running on there for now.

Chis and Ryan - congratulations on your PR's this weekend! You know, this group makes mondays extra-awesome - it seems there are always at least a couple every weekend that bring home hardware and/or PRs. You folks always get me fired up for the week!
