Coffee coffee coffee! I discovered (Okay, searched for) a coffee creamer that was flavored AND sugar free. Found something in the vanilla/caramel variety. It's so good. It makes me drink more coffeeeeeeee

Yep, living through that right now.  I keep thinking that I'm not doing enough, that I should be working out or at least doing SOMETHING!

But, I packed my gear last night, so that was a bit of a relief to have done.  Welllllll... it's not actually "packed", but everything that I want/need for the race is strewn all over the bike box, so that counts, right?

It's a nice saying, but not always true.  Wait... are we talking about coffee?

Yeah, this is my living room floor right now.  Absolutely covered in gear.  I laid out everything and spent like three hours constantly re-thinking through each phase of the race and what I might, or might not, need. Finished setting up the bike and swapping cassettes, etc...

Looking forward to obsessing over it again tonight and then actually packing it all.  Probably should pack some clothes and stuff for the other days, too, I guess.

Psh - you shut your pie hole!  Until you do any 140.6 race, you can't talk!  Just like anyone without kids can't have an opinion on them!!

You're right though, it's not a real one.  I'll go hang my head in shame for a second.

Just be sure to weigh your stuff before the lady at the check-in counter does (if you're flying). My suitcase was WELL over the 50lb limit but I was able to transfer some stuff to the bike box and even it out. I weighed at home to avoid displaying everything in front of a long line of cranky passengers.

At least on Southwest, even the bike box has to be under 50lb. Which is silly since you're paying an arm and a leg to put it on the plane anyway...

See?  You're already experiencing the first part of the race, the pre-race OCD!  Once you're done with that, the actual race will be easy.

Of course it will, it's not a real 140.6

Yikes... even the bike box has to be under 50lbs???  Okay, well that just sucks.   I don't *think* I'll have a problem with the luggage being under, but then again, I'm not really known for being all that good at travelling light.

Oh it can be over, but you're going to pay for it. Or so says Southwest.com.

Well IM is the only place its acceptable to march about incased in neoprene but I would suggest it might get a bit uncomfortable after a while and real clothes might be a better choice

WHAAAAT?  How the hell is it okay to say that to your doctor?  Or your doctor's assistant??   Can you transfer the case to someone else?  Really, that just doesn't sound like a great situation to go into the OR with.

Ha - I think the ONLY thing keeping the staging area "contained" is that there just isn't enough space in our apartment for me to make the piles any bigger!

Training our bodies to work efficiently in Zone 2 will help us keep our HR and pace even throughout an Ironman. This theory would hold true for the bike and run portion of an Ironman race.
