I guess I should have known the race already happened before posting that.

Apparently the guy finished in 15:30 or so.  Good for him.  We can all eat crow.

LSUfan4444 - 2010-10-23 5:15 AM For those who have never seen an IM finish at midnight, check out the finish line at IMFLA last year at midnight.

That was really awesome.  Thanks for posting it.

I've been out of the loop a bit.  I've been out of town for a convention.  My ankle is hurt so I chose not to run at all this week, but hit the pool twice (on schedule).  The ankle was getting little by little better.  I did a real nice, very easy 4 hour bike ride on a sweet rented Cannondale six yesterday.  The riding here in Ft Collins Colorado is so gorgeous it's almost beyond discription, the yellow and red leaves are falling, the air was crisp and the mountains looked lovely in the afternoon sunlight.  Everything felt great afterwords.

Today my ankle is sore and it hurts a little to walk.   I was getting used to the idea of perhaps walking the whole run, but now I'm wondering if that will be possible.  Walking has been ok all week.  We'll try a little walk this afternoon and see what happens.   Tough to stay positive when you might not be able to even do the run.

Trying to decide what kind of workout's, if any, to do next week.  No run today of course.

On the plus side, my sister may be able to make the trip to PCB to hang out for a week and watch the race.

I was hoping bib numbers would come out today.  They are always so bloody slow after Kona.  IMWI had theirs like 3 weeks ahead of the race.

I am sick, and bored and missed my last build week due to illness.  I'm tired of being sick.  Just whining.  Its a cold and I'll live but its annoying

I'm right there with you. My cold has been around for a week now and I'm really fed up with it. Having said that though, my head has cleared quite a bit today and I've only got a few sniffles left, so hopefully it's just about gone. I'm a little scared of doing too much though in case it decides to come back again. Will give the bike a go tomorrow though.

I'm on day 9 of my cold.  I'm starting to feel better now, but my long run yesterday really kind of sucked.  My lungs weren't there and my HR was way higher than it should have been for the effort.

Good news is we have 10 days to get healthy!!!

Race # 2653.

Last year my number was 2718.

Ran 2 miles yesterday. First run since 10/8/2010. Keeping my fingers crossed that aqua jogging will pay off on race day.

WOOHOO I am #132.............highest number I have ever had!  they must have a lot of pros/charity racers this year.

I kind of have time goals......I'd like to go 1:10 or better on the swim sub 6 hours on the bike and the run is a wild card.  I'd be extactic with a run time shorter than my bike time but it could be between 6-7 hours............yes my run is that bad

Primary goal to finish but if i had to put a time up I'd be happy with sub 13

Been fighting off a cold past 5 days or so.  Throat has stayed sore the entire time which makes it fun to train.  Didn't do anything too long or intense over the weekend.   Time's finally getting close boys and girls!

Last year it all added up to 11 with 1244. I nailed the 11:14. This year its 1205, which could mean 17:00 OY!

Seriously, hope you all have a nice taper, and can look back at a solid training regimen with pride. Race day is fraught with peril. Just hope for the best conditions and the best performance your training allows. Be very thankful you can do this thing of ours. To quote a team member, "we are the luckiest sons of b's in the world!"

It's offical, I'm BIB #436!!!

Apparently it's the season of 430's for bib #s, as I was 434 for my last race, Savageman.  I feel like I did well for that race, so let's hope it's an omen!
