Downton. (Page 8)

On our listings it comes up at 'Masterpiece Theatre' first so it's a little confusing to find. 

I think the same of Carson, too.  He's not on the same economical or social scale as Robert, but he looks like him and holds fast to his ideals because he wants to be him.  

But honestly, how are ladies not trained for service from the day they come out of the womb?  It's all you are good for.

The foreshadowing was HEAVY there, but I took it a different way.  They were talking so much about loving each other until the end that I figure one of them is due to die soon.

I had thought it was the comment about a costume for each occassion. 

One of my patients said that Matthew did not renew his contract - has moved to Hollywood as he wants to be a Hollywood actor - and they are casting Mary's boyfriend??????

it is apparently all over everything - not from anything I have seen - just his contract yadda yadda

so how is that a spoiler?  asking how they will get rid of him from non contract renewal

you linked to an article titled SEASON 4 SPOILERS.  (which i didn't read) but if something hasn't happened on the aired show yet, it is a spoiler, by definition!

it still has not happened.

My mom told me that several weeks ago and I flipped out. I'd rather not know and I do not Google anything about the show since there's all kinds of info out there since it's already aired in the UK.  

I will confess to googling for spoilers and seeing this too.  It made me "notice" things like the bedroom scene between Mary and Matthew where he said he'd love her to the day she dies.

Sometimes spoilers suck but sometimes it's fun to know what is coming and have interest in "how we get there".

I was at Ironman Kona and I knew who won.  But when I was out there riding my bike I remember exactly what color the bike leader was wearing when he passed me and it wasn't the guy who ended up winning.  When I finally saw the Kona TV coverage and they talked about two people riding together I found it fascinating to see how the race go to the point I saw plus the eventual winner...because the coverage wasn't matching what I remembered seeing.  So...one could say that the spoiler ruined the coverage for me, but I don't think so...I had fun seeing how my "spoiler" came to fruition....if that makes sense...

it is still all rumor - the article says he did not renew his contract  - but they have not yet started taping

apparently in the acting world it is well known that he was going Hollywood (decided before season 3)

so I still want to know how they get rid of him

Not all of us feel that way. Yes it's on google and "public" information, but it gives big clues to where the show could go (but no, not specifics), and when you guys talked about getting the seasons ahead of time I wrote "no spoilers". If you want to google great, but I didn't.

I respected the desire for no spoilers...if I watch ahead I won't squeal. :D

Sorry you thought this was a spoiler - I look at it as a possibility for next season and was just curious what people thought would be done!
