VERY low-key weekend.  Not much sleep during the week meant that I absolutely CRASHED on the weekend.

Drinks with friends on Friday night, tried to do a 3 hour ride on Saturday (which turned into just over 2 hours due to being completely frustrated with the riding trail), got my hair prettified Saturday afternoon, saw a friend at the Lit Fair that was by our house, then Sunday was a late breakfast/brunch before movie day at the theater with Ironman 3 and Fast & Furious 6.

Yeah ... and something bigger. Because I know how you want something bigger.

Nothing that a little upgrading and remodeling won't fix.

Oh wait - did you mean with the condo?

So, these discussions don't happen at home?? Oh, wait - the springs aren't felt when all the lovin' is happenin' in the tub, on the floor, on the cupboard, and so on, etc. etc.

The discussions happen at home too.  Okay, the tub and the floor I'm good with,  but on the cupboard?  I don't think I can even imagine that one - and I'm pretty sure I've never even seen it on the internet.

You must not be familiar with the video series "Bangin' in the Cupboard". There are 7 in the series. Pssh.....you narrow minded people....

Something new to add to the collection!  I can't believe I hadn't seen this one before.  How did I miss such a gem?

Sounds like a good weekend! I wish mine were more low key. The folks we were hanging with are freaking party guys. Golf pro, his caddy, 5-hour energy execs - there is no down time. Always MANY drinks in - loud - hilarious - exhausting!

Party on Saturday night involved tooooo many drinks, dance marathon on a boat, people jumping into the lake fully clothed, a noise complaint, neighbors boating over to join the party, and the hostess (exec at a biz jet company) getting into a huge fight with her boyfriend and crying in the bathroom. GOOD TIMES.

Related: cake vodka + diet orange sunkist = orangecicle dream drink. Try it.

They have temperature control IN the beds?
I have a Sleep Number that's dual adjustable firm-ness wise, but not temp wise. I'm a cheap-o like that.

And why would a young, innocent, morally outstanding, single girl need a DUAL adjustable mattress, one might ask?

WOW - sounds like a fabulous (but exhausting) weekend!  Did you invite the people with the noise complaint to join in?  Sometimes that works well, and other times not so much...

I was wondering about the cake vodka - will DEFINITELY have to give that a try for the next girls night.  :D

I went to a local Irish Fest on Saturday, where they had a Japanese Hibachi food stand and a couple of guys in kilts covering songs by Bob Marley.  There was Guiness everywhere, so it was legit.  I bought a kilt.

Must have been a weekend for Irish festivals, I was at one on Sunday.  At least the food here was from a local Irish pub with a California twist.  One of the bands was self described as "Celtic tribal" from Australia: bag pipes and didgeridoos!

We had the Lit Fest and Blues Fest this weekend in our hood. Apparently there was rib fest up north, but we didn't go.

Don't these people have homes?

We had an ice cream "crank off" on Saturday in my town (homemade ice cream with all sorts of random flavors. Bacon jalapeno was actually quite good......sweet, smoky, salty, and hot.....and cold).

Ahhh....the suburban life.

Got pretty wasted on Friday night......

I do have a pic of the hibachi stand!  It was too funny to not get a pic of that.

I'm still not sure what the point is of a didgeridoo. It's a bit like a "c" in Tuson.

It's a bit like calling a washing machine with old bearings a musical instrument.

I agree. The popularity of the didgeridoo went south after the critical panning of the little known Bach's 69th Symphony: Concerto for didgeridoo and washboard.

Everybody's a critic!  Based on number alone, it was the best symphony.

Don't know what's worse....

The fact that you used the word "shreds" and "didgeridoo" in the same sentence

or

The fact that you knew right where to look for didgeridoo 'artists'

Yeah; his recent album sucks. But the older stuff is pure classic.

I had a Roti mediterranean chicken salad for lunch and three hours later I'm still quite gassy - there's NO holding all this in, so do I try and let silent ones go into my chair and hope no one notices, or just let 'em rip?

Gotta love not having an office door to be able to close and let loose as needed.   Undecided

Anyone here ever get turned down when donating blood?

I have twice now because of my iron levels.  I get the stupid brochure every time telling me what to do, and I do those things (generally eating more foods with high levels or iron in them) and then it still didn't help.

Maybe I should look into taking an iron supplement?
