Another 3100 yard swim. Strange how 3000 + yard swims have become my norm.

These challenges are warping my brain Wink.

And then for a sweet deal of who would have thunk it - I found a bike shop 5 minutes from the hotel that stocks BMC bikes - yes that is just pure torture! Oh well I just wish the LBS where I work stocked them or I could get a deal on one anyways - why pay retail when you work in the bizness?

Nice runs and bike. I am glad you didn't steal the bike because they won't let you log onto BT from jail

Can't you get a deal through your bike shop? You NEED another bike.

Nice, I need your connections. I'm going to start shopping for another bike but I'm not exactly sure what. I have a comfort hybrid but it is like riding a tank when it's windy out here in farm country. I also have a tri bike. I had a road bike but I sold it to a friend who wanted to get into triathlons.  I just want something easy to ride, that can handle some gravel from the country roads but I can also put on the trainer for winter. I need to get on it already because right now I am just avoiding riding at all!

Great job everyone.   Lots of impressive percentages.

I had a short run today and will spend a little time on the trainer.  I am still very sore from last weekend but don't want to fall behind and the active recovery is probably a good thing.

Keep up the good work.

Good morning Ghoulies and BT Challengers.  Got in another ralk yesterday during dinner break.  I'm at 21% of goal for the month.  How is everyone else doing?  Got to get your workouts logged so we can see who to crack the whip on, or send Dee out to taser.

Tell me the brands that the LBS around you carry and I will give you some pointers - If you can find a Raleigh dealer they just came out with a "gravel" bike that looks pretty sweet and people in the know are pretty happy with it - I actually looked for it yesterday at the shop I was at but they didn't have it in stock yet. You can never go wrong with a Salsa Vaya that is for sure

Thanks! Closest around me (15 min) the LBS sells Trek, about an 1 hour away they sell Felt & Giant. I bought my road bike and tri bike from the second shop and they are great to work with. Other than that I would have to hit the city (St. Louis) where there are ton of shops and I could find about anything but it's a 2 hour drive. Not a big deal, we go that way pretty frequently to visit family.

Heading to Branson for the weekend with family. Not sure what I'll get in as far as swim/run but I've packed everything so at least I'll be prepared!

I had a very enjoyable morning today with the tri club, volunteering at the local Parkrun. It's great to step out sometimes, stand on the sidelines, help out and cheer the runners home. My fitness may not have improved but I'm happy I had the chance to do a little bit for helping to make events happenSmile.

Well, it's almost halfway through the month, how's everyone going? I'm behind on everything but the run, but hoping to pick things up again soon. I was meant to be in the pool this morning but my three year old daughter had other plans, waking up just as I was about to go out the door. In the interests of family harmony (husband can be seriously grumpy if woken under these circumstances) I stayed home and played with plastic dinosaurs instead.

I'm behind, but with vacation that last week of the month, I'll have a chance to catch things up.
