Welcome back Melissa, glad to hear you are back at the training post pneumonia.

We did a fun warmup set in the pool this morning that I've never done before.  It was called "Beat the clock".  It was a set of 50s on 1:01 and we had to keep going until we couldn't finish a 50 by the start time.  So, I started the first on :00 and had to be done by :00, second one started on :01 and had to be done by :00, third started on :02 and had to be done by :00 and so on.  The first 20 were just getting warmed up cruising just under :40 per 50 and then we had to start paying attention and picking up the pace.  I made it to #30 before missing the time (#29 was debatable...)

That sounds like a cool set, I am going to have to adopt that one....

One of the coolest parts of that set is to do it every week or month or whatever and to try and do 1 better each time.

Marc - are you looking at TSS during or after the ride?  Where's some good web info on TSS as a whole?

Training peaks has a lot of info on TSS.

Basically it takes your normalized power compared to your threshold, takes in account duration and it gives a score to your workout. A workout over 85 in an hour is tough. A 120 score over 2 hours is a nice ride. A 180TSS HIM bike will lead to a good run.

Your 910 calculate TSS on the fly.

I always look at the TSS after. Sometimes I calculate it or see it calculated for me before the workout. And I know how much I will suffer based on it.

I'll see if I can calculate Jorge's 6x4 workout TSS later :-)

I've been looking at TSS a lot more this year.  You really need to make sure your FTP that you enter in is fairly accurate though...maybe plus or minus 5 watts at the max.  Which reminds me that I need to reset my FTP in BT, my garmins, and WKO as it has surely dropped since the last time I updated it.

Good news is my running doc doesn't think it's a stress fx, he sees a lot of them and says this doesn't present at all like one.   Just a high arch problem

Still not running tomorrow, but will ride in the a.m.   Rode about 2 hours after work today, another 2 tomorrow, should be good for 2 pieces of pie....

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Happy thanksgiving to all the American's in the group.  Although I think the Canadians might outnumber the Americans.  To you guys...well, have a good day.

I have a run on tap but I strained one of my quads.  I'll foam roll it and give it a try later today anyways and just play it by feel.  Its my "long" run but also my easiest run

Happy Turkey Day (not for  me, I'm vegetarian!).

I raced a local reverse sprint tri today and took 1st place. I was racked next to a pro who raced in the ITU Olympic qualifiers this past summer, thought I had no chance. Came in off the run right behind her, passed her within the first few miles of the bike and she stayed with me. She caught me in the pool so it was a battle to the end...I won by 5 seconds! My mum saw me race for the first time in my adult life and my kids were there. I got a $50 gift cert to Trisports

Great start to the day. Now heading to the in-laws for the Thanksgiving festivities.

Can you swim 5k for me to...you know...to show your support?  Not that I'm going to swim 5k today.  I did go for a ride and decided to do a coupld of climbs.  One was about 2.5 miles at 7.3%.  Mashing would be an understatement.

Well I will be in the pool at 5:30am tomorrow which will still be today for you.  I'll see what I can do.

I just looked at your ride on Strava.  It's amazing how flat everything seems to be if you stick to the outside of the island but it goes vertical in a hurry as soon as you head inland!
