Firstly was excited coz he's HAWT.  Secondly found out he lives in my suburb!  And now he has offered to coach me and another chick...June 15.

His price usually is $249 per session per person.  He is going to charge us $80 each - 1.30mins.  Underwater video and analysis.

Have I mentioned he's hot?  He has a website Effortless Swimming.  He specialises in triathlon and OWS.  Of course I won't be deserting Johnny (he's $6...)

AWESOME!!

I have seen his "Effortless Swimming" clips on FB and have learned a lot from him.  That is one heck of a deal (and a super HAWT Piglet too!)

He clearly is unaware of my stalking abilities...he has given me his cell phone number ------oh dear.

I guess the birthday gift I got him on Monday was not good enough. Seriously, I really thought he and I worked well together. Very sad and confused. After 21 sessions we were not a good fit? Really, he didn't wait till the end of the session and dumped me half way through. I sat in the parking lot crying. I was begging for answers. I am shocked.
Seriously? That's ridiculous!!!! No real reason or explanation? I'm sorry :/

He just said we were not a good fit.  I was doing back extensions and after 50 (usually he stops me at 20), I stopped and asked him how many we were going to and then he broke it to me.     I just don't get it. I tried to do my best.  I gave it all I had when I was there.  I know I am not strong and I am just starting back but I thought that I was making progress.

YES!!!! I hate mine! Hips are sore most mornings :/  Hmmm...we probably should do something about getting new ones soon. Have you researched?

Tested some at Ikea, but not totally sold on one. I really want one that has the memory foam on the top.

Abberlutely.

Supportive mattress, pillow that holds head in neutral position, and if on your side, pillow between the legs and possibly a boyfriend pillow between the arms. I have no idea what that's called in the States.

None of that's going to hurt (mattresses can be expensive unless they're futons), and if you're having problems, definitely worth a try.

Agree, a bad mattress can lead to all sorts of aches and pains.

I agree but rather then spending money on a new one and getting one that still makes no difference call the place that you stayed at your conference and ask them what sort of mattresses they have then your all set to know which one works for you. But be prepared to spend some $$$$.

$$$ is right. It was a Westin. I can buy it from Westin directly: http://www.westin-hotelsathome.com/productGroup.aspx?mattress-box-s...

To clarify so that you all don't think I am some stalker client, the birthday gift I got him was a $3 bedazzled pen.  He had joked with me about getting him a gift because he had to train on his birthday.  He said he was size medium and liked shiny things.  Another client got him a tiara.  It was all in good fun, or so I thought.

I think we all know that role is taken!  Embarassed

I'm still amazed that a professional person can treat a client in that way.  Wrong.

Joanne I am livid for you. Not a good fit is fine but who the eff drops someone in the middle of a session? I'm sorry that happened and you should definitely be discussing with you gym.So S.O. and I have travelled to Auburn, WA for agility. As we are nearing our destination, we hear that a bridge over a river has collapsed about 20min or so behind us... at least 3 cars into the river but no serious injuries reported so far...thank goodness!

So would dancing around in a giant frog suit for 1.5 hours count for the Jogo challenge? If so, I may have begun it a few days early...

...and we just felt an earthquake. That was kind of fun--apparently, a 5.7 quake in NE Cal felt all the way down in Sacramento. Laughing

Maybe you should have gotten him a tutu to go with the tiara. I hope you get reasonable compensation, even though I know there's no compensation for hurt feelings

Wow, what a jerk.  I can't believe he would do something like that.

I've gone over it so many times in my head.  I was so devastated last night.  I really appreciate the support.  Being a nurse, I have had lots of patients that were not a good fit over the years but they are still my patients and I love and care for them.  If I really can't handle a patient, I don't wait till their discharge day to turn them over to a colleague.  I do it as soon as I know that something is interfering with me giving them the best care I possibly can.  We all have those people and maybe I was his, but communication is key.  This could've been handled much more professionally.  I probably should've pushed harder for measurement of goals and taken charge of my own progress.  We have never measured any progress.  Maybe if I would've been more focused on my purpose for being there, I would've seen this sooner.  I was having too much fun to really care.  I figured it was doing me some good, forcing me to push myself, and I felt like he understood me as a runner.

I really am struggling about talking to the gym.  I would rather talk to him and see what his reasons were for acting like this first.  I hate to have any one lose their job over me and Lifetime Fitness is all about selling a product and keeping clients.  I would think that they would frown on losing a customer that pays $110/month for gym membership (me and my husband) and then $150/week for training ($75/hour and that is with the discount).  Needless to say that $$$ will be put to much better use.

It ain't you. It's him.

Talking to the gym is simply your obligation as a consumer, nothing more. It's business. It's professionalism. If you paid for 6 months of cable TV and it cut out in the middle of your favorite show (on a channel package you'd paid more for) ...

WTF?! 21 sessions done, 4 left and in the middle of a session; he needs an azz kicking! Glad you will follow up with the gym, there is a lot of of explanation that needs to be done.

Yanti's right the only reason to talk to the gym is to get them to refund you the money that you have paid for your next 4 session plus the one that he failed to complete. By my calculation from what you said that's $335 at least but I would be asking for all of the one he bailed out on so that's actually $375. That's some neat new shoes and a new running outfit cause of your crazy cheap stuff in the US. Don't let them get out of giving your money back to you.

So as you know (if you don't what rock are you living  under!?) I'm a member of the MaccaX triathlon thingo.  He has just recruited a swim coach for the group - Brenton Ford.

Awesome!!!!

WHAT?!!!

First off, totally unprofessional.  Secondly, mid session?  That's crazy!  It sounds like there is a real jerk lurking in there...

You are making progress.  He's inner jerk just came out.
