Been thinking of you all even though i have not been posting. Maintaining base fitness level right now with boot camp and one or two runs, but so busy at work i just can't find the time to get more in or even keep up online. Just read through the last 3 pages of 'stuff'. See the group has it's usual mix of angst and fun. Hope you are all doing well and are looking forward to the festivities. Weather is a little cool here in the UK. Everything very pretty covered in a heavy frost right now. Haven't seen a post by Yanti. What has she gone and caught now??? Will try to keep up a little more. Love and kisses, your favourite frog xxx Iron man-flu. [/QUOTE Oooooohh. Now that is impressive |

Great job getting A all activitied up. JoGo, thanks for the post. Very thoughtful. Felicia, sorry to hear about your sister. Allen, Yanti is in Australia after an IM attempt. She got within 10k of the finish and did not make the time cutoff. Are you on Facebook? She posted some pictures there. I think that the album is set to "public" so maybe this URL will work for you -- https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10101230386222975.2847218.3412897&type=1 Kirsten, nice job getting that workout in. I know that when we had Hannah, she would kiss me while I tried to do planks. Very distracting! Salty, bad tracks. BAD TRACKS! AAArrrrrrrrrggghhhhhhhhhh AAArrrrggghhhh (what's Salty doin' on a bike??????) |

That's the joy of living alone, leftovers go on forever. I have eaten it with veggies, a white meat turkey burger and marinara sauce. While I like this preparation, there must be other ways to prepare it. So, please give me some ways you have incorporated it into your meals. Thanks. How about trying it with a man??? We eat more (so it will be gone quicker) and we sometimes make great comany. On even rarer occasions, we can help you work it off!!!!! |

That's fun! And totally random. Conspankulations!!! Yes, it's totally legit. And very cool. I have a feeling you could qualify for Worlds (just by continuing cross-training in S/B, B = commuting) which is worth going to depending upon which country it's being held in. Not times ... rankings. So it helps to choose your qual race(s) wisely Soooo is Nationals not the only qualifying race? Damn this crap is complicated. I need an admin assistant. My neighbor did AG Nationals last year and its the 1st 20 (I believe, don't quote me) in each AG which qualify for worlds. You have to commit immediately (so know your finances and where it is at plus factor in the Team USA kit which I believe was expensive and all the travel expenses). They will "roll down" the group to the next 5 or so is there is someone who is in the top 20 who does not want to commit. Edited by jogo 2012-12-13 7:16 PM |

It was in Spain this year. Olympic and Sprint Distance Worlds were in New Zealand this year. Next year they are in London. |

She qualified for New Zealand for the Olympic distance but she also qualified for the Long Course distance and went to Spain for that. She bowed out of New Zealand because of the cost of Spain and New Zealand in the same year, plus she wanted to race IMFL. I have 2 friends going to London this year. I am finally moving out of my closet office in the dark, noisy warehouse, into a real office down what I call "doctor's row". They are giving me a vacated MD's office, complete with my own wood "c" shaped desk, a wipeoff board (yes, I am a total geek and that excites me), and wood grain file cabinets. WOOT!!! My jogo workout may be lifting and unpacking today!! |

I asked myself, "What Would Salty Do?" and wore my tall socks. These are the Swiftwick Five (got them for free in a contest). I really want a pair of the even taller Twelve. Congrats on getting your JoGo on AND channelling Salty! I very very very much like running in Swiftwicks, they are my favorite running socks! I have a pair of Twelves that sit at a funny spot on my leg, I guess since I have such long legs. They are kinda only part way up my calf, not up to where the calf tapers back in...this makes them feel a little funny, but it's usually tolerable. I wear the Twelves as recovery since I think they'd drive me mad if I tried to run in them. |

We are doing a big pre party at our house tonight followed by a pub crawl and ending in karaoke at this dive bar. Tomorrow is the big family party/gift exchange extravaganza. I even designed some retro inspired shirts for everyone and J and my friend printed them last night! A family that has matching shirts stays together, or something like that ... |

I got 6 pairs free by entering a contest on their blog. I entered and forgot about it. A month later I got a box of sock. How cool! I have short legs, so the twelves might work. Mostly, I think they are cool looking and could be fun to wear to a race. |
