Subject: RE: TAN #51: TAN and Deliverlisac957 - 2008-10-10 1:56 PM Sounds like she IS succeeding... getting her job done well. And they just want her to be there extra hours. I agree that management should reward top performers, but not at the expense of working employees to death just because you can. For the most part, yes. But that is part of the reason why I want to leave. I don't think I'm very well suited for this job. They would do better to hire someone who doesn't need to ask so many questions, esp. in this market, when my boss is too busy to help me when I need her to, and not 3 days later when I can get her pinned down. I try to get help elsewhere, but most of the time, I need her. And I can't get to her. Even though I HATED our general counsel, if he were still here, I could go to him, as much as that sucks. I'm not a lawyer, I'm not a negotiator, I'm not trained in any of this, and I don't think I should be here. It'd be one thing if we were all doing well, and no one was stressed out all the time; I'd feel less bad about needing help and training. But no one has the time to help me b/c everyone is running around like a nutbag. I work as efficiently as I possibly can and get the vast majority of my work done in a record amount of time. BUt the small piece leftover is where I need help and can't get the help I need. And that small piece is always the stuff that matters the most - the stuff that's beyond my abilities. I'm honestly not sure what they were thinking when they promoted me, except that it was quicker and cheaper than finding someone else. Edited by wurkit_gurl 2008-10-10 1:03 PM
