Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Skrat posted on his blog that he had to make the difficult decision to do the HIM instead of the full. Whenever you check in, Skrat, know that we're behind you either way!!!! (Still a great view) |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Did another run tonight and felt good. I alternated walking and jogging. I was taking it easy, but apparently my running segments were 7 min/mi pace (I promise I was taking it easy). I'll be running every day this week to get in some kind of fitness for the weekend. I'm still nursing a cold, but I have (another?) week to drop it. I'm really pumped for the first race of the season! Can't wait! Looking forward to seeing how I baseline for the rest of the season. |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Oh, and Tony Kanaan won the Indy 500 today! Yaaay! Did you know he's done Kona before? He's a pretty tough dude if he can race full time and fit in a full IM training schedule. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Soooooo behind! Way to go racers! Chris, sorry for the loss of your congregation member, I am sure he will be missed. Yanti, sorry your friend is being a weenie. Sounds like he is all wrapped up in his own stuff and can't see outside himself right now. I am sure in time he will figure it out and make his amends. I know I missed some stuff....Oh, yeah, good job on getting your Jogo on, and Joanne, I love how you are calling people out! |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I am very proud of my Jogo today. I was planning on riding the 25miles to the agility trial site this AM. But of course, this being the Wet Coast, I wanted to bail. But, I sucked it up. I got soaked and absolutely FILTHY. And to top it off, I got a flat. Yup, you guessed it, rear tire. Sigh. I was slow, but got it changed ok (why is it that you can struggle and struggle and struggle to get the last bit of bead over the rim and then all of a sudden it just goes with seemingly no effort??). In case anyone was wondering, WA state has a great network of paved bike trails. Sooooo, Salty, didja get that spare tube yet?? |

Can someone explain to me why their midsections are exposed? I don't get the short shirts... |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() My short race report on my run this weekend. Just a warning: I wore pink. Yes. I am that girl. The alias for this race is "The Run for the Chip." That's cow chip, for any of you wondering. And yes. I have a picture of that, too. Edited by KansasMom 2013-05-27 12:24 AM |

Can someone explain to me why their midsections are exposed? I don't get the short shirts... For some, it's difficult to get a shirt that fits both around and in length. Pros, however, can get their stuff custom fit. Jesse Thomas wrote up on this on one of his blog entries. So, it's more likely that it's for better venting for heat. Some guys will pull the shirt way up at times when it's really hot out. |

Pull 'em way up, and if it's a zip, zip it way down (there are triathlons, quite a few in fact, that now have zip-to-the-nips rules, can't unzip 'em lower than that), stuff ice in it, etc. Personally, I'm all for less clothing in tri. I like Faris. I can't even explain why. But do I need to? |

He'll realize how amazing you are. Being annoyed that you didn't like his business on FB? That's petty in the grand scheme of things. You have so much going on right now and you're handling it all fabulously. AAAAAGH cantstopcrying ... I thought about you a lot today and your love of all things badgermoose and Mutti. How deeply that touches me, I can't tell you. I also know you (and many others, but it's all about you right now) really understand what it's like to feel so overwhelmed that it's incredibly hard to will yourself to give a crap about anything, much less actually DO something about anything ... either about the anything or about not giving a crap! I do. It's rough sometimes. It's ok to take some time off from caring and let yourself decompress and get through this. |

I'm really trying to put it--to put me--first for that precious half-hour so that it starts the day off right. Heck, usually everything's turned to shyte and I'm deep into the fuggets by noon ... if it takes as long as 1pm, it's a great day |

Melon Presser ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Salty. We need this for the Yanti Salty Coconut Contact Aquatri. Yes, of course the cute dog and for me the smokin' piglet, but also the aquabike. For the bike portion. Paddle boats are fine too but I've fallen in love with this. Oh, and with the contraption, too. Some of you may recognize the piglet ... |
