I just ask that we use Epic properly. It shall not be used to describe an average meal. No one has ever had an EPIC latte. My daughter thinks so, but she is wrong. There are so many words in the English language, lets not be using them incorrectly.

Btw, I don't like using my phone to post. Epic fail! Hahaha.

The city of Richmond is going to be insane to get around.  There's part of me that wants to go......and the part that hates to drive in Richmond wonders if there will be television coverage.  Pathetic, they are 20-30 minutes from me and that's my honest opinion.

Per the official website (http://richmond2015.com/), there's satellite parking with free shuttles.  I understand hating traffic, though.  Looks like Universal Sports will be covering it.  I haven't been able to find any info about who the 6th member of the men's team is.  Anybody know?

It's also race weekend at Richmond Raceway so NASCAR has about 150 thousand people in addition to the crowd for the bike race

Hm.  That does put a damper on things, doesn't it?  Silly NASCAR people anyway.  Why would they want to watch cars, which they can watch any day of the week from a bridge over the interstate, when they could watch bikes?!

I am a raceaholic.  Was at a bbq at my brother in laws last night.  He tells me his church is volunteering at a 15k in the morning.  I respond without hesitation, "what time does it start"?  PR by a minute.  Pretty happy with that after a brutal 6 mile trail run yesterday.

Is there a RA group near you?

It's pretty cool that you have the ability/flexibility to jump into these whenever they suit your fancy. Congrats on the PR!

well, it is not ideal but with cancer scans every six months I tend to live each month like they are my last and never want to miss an opportunity to utilize the gift I have been given.  today was awesome.

So it looks like Darren finished the swim in 1:52:42, did T1 in 18:14, and is 90 k in to the bike. He's been out there 6 hours if I'm reading it correctly. Goooo Darren!!!!

My niece also has scans every 6 months. Three years ago today we were doing Relay for Life with her and she was wearing a scarf to cover her head. Today for her birthday she is bagging two 14ers, Torreys Peak and Grays Peak.

I'm not thrilled with the decision of Garmin to remove the sync button from Garmin ExpressAnd while I'm complaining... four hours of packet pickup gave me a pretty bad view of triathletes.

Through 25km!

Oh, and I think, at more than 1km and up quite a hill, the run from swim exit to T1 can be described as EPIC!

Had a good final tri of the season today.  I'll come back for details.

But I just saw Janyne's post about Emma on fb. Did I miss the details on that?  And I saw we had another pet die recently.  Sadness.  So many Strava workouts with a run with Emma!

I'm not FB friends with her (I should fix that!), what happened?  I know Emma was having tests done.

I am not on FB, so I don't know what has happened, only that they were wondering about a neuro issue.  Regardless, I am so sorry Janyne.  I know she has been very much a beloved member of your family.  It is so hard when they leave us; they bring us such joy, companionship and unconditional love.
