Whew! Got over Thanksgiving. Was able to get back down to 138 lbs with 3 days of running, and a hard mountain bike session today. Flushed out all the salt!

Happy weekend, guys!

I ate way too much over the holiday weekend. I actually didn't do too bad on Thanksgiving, but the rest of the weekend ended up being a total binge. Back to eating clean today, but not limiting calories too much with the 50 miler coming up this weekend. Once the race is over, it'll be time to hit it hard.

Thanks, Roni! It was messy, but the views were amazing, and it was so much fun. Good luck on your 50 miler! Inspiring, girl! Smile

So, upping the swims and bikes. I should look a lot firmer in the quads and shoulders, no? That's good. Those are my weakest areas, woo hoo!

I'm at 142 without any real eating issues. Wonder what's up with that! Arrgh.

What an amazing vacation!!!!!  I ate way too many carbs on the cruise, but I did work out every day.  I doubt they cancel eachother out.....3-curse dinners every night...uggg!  Yummy though   Back to normal food consumption, but I'm not getting on the scale just yet.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has been doing well.  I have been busy and not getting enough workouts in but I plan to run everyday in December to help establish a habit.

Here is what I have been up to though:

Abbie: Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time.

Judi: Yay for a loss!

Bill: Way to keep it in check while on the road!

Cameron: You can do it!

Well, it's my Friday. I got up to 142.8 mid week, and I have no idea why, but I'm back to 141 this morning, so no change from last week. Fine, I'll take it.

Going at it hard this month. I  need to increase my base fitness!

Work it, guys!

Hi guys, I've been working it hard but have had a couple of rough spots.

One day this week I had a lite lunch. I was very hungry in the car so I ate 1 banana, a pear, and then a bag of mixed carrots, celery and broccli left overs in my cooler.  No guilt about what I ate.  Well, when I got home the plan was to ride the trainer for an hour before dinner.  I started the workout about a hour after my snacks in the car.  The workout was brutal.  I finished the complete work dose  but had a really quessy gut the whole time.  Too much fiber?

Second bad day this week,  Hard swim followed by shower, commute and then back to back meetings all morning.  I was planning to run at lunch but on the way out of the building I so felt light headed and could hardly walk straight.  Seems like I may have cut back too far on my calories.

Training hard and dieting at the same time is tough to balance.

Good luck everyone.

Ever have one of those morning when you feel REALLY skinny??  You suck it in, stand in front of the mirror and see RIBS!  So you eagerly get on the scale expecting to see a SWE-EET number only - you are up .5 from the day before!!?? WTF???? So you get out the tape measure in hopes of major body comp changes but the only thing that's happened is your boobs have shrunk by 2cm.  hrmmmmmm  Welcome to my day!!!  I WILL stay the course though.  I've got a goal so there's no giving up!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

I feel your pain. I have learned that on the days I feel thinner to stay away from measuring devises of all types. Don't want to confirm or deny the happy feeling.

My guess is you need some protein and a little fat in there. too. The body needs those as well, especially after a work out. I find If I have lots of veggies, I have to wait at least an hour. They stay in my stomach a long time.

Balance in workouts and dieting seem as elusive (for me) as attaining world peace.

On par from last week but I did run today at lunch.  That is my habit I HAVE to get back!

Have a great and healthy weekend.
