Well, it's almost halfway through the month, how's everyone going? I'm behind on everything but the run, but hoping to pick things up again soon. I was meant to be in the pool this morning but my three year old daughter had other plans, waking up just as I was about to go out the door. In the interests of family harmony (husband can be seriously grumpy if woken under these circumstances) I stayed home and played with plastic dinosaurs instead.

I'm a little ahead of pace but it's taken a few workouts that I probably would not have done had it not been for my desire to beat the Ghoulies. I had a race a week ago that I had to taper and recover from that messed with my schedule a bit but also forced me into a few post-race active recovery runs which probably wasn't all bad.We have a week ahead of perfect Fall weather so getting out to run is going to be a pleasure. The Fall colors are coming into their full glory and with dry, calm, cool weather making the trail runs around here a little slice of heaven.

Had a HIM this weekend, and that brings me to my goal for the month for biking. Now I put away the bike for a few months and get started on marathon training! Well, after a nice recovery week... :-)

I'm over 50% for both of my goals - whew. I am dealing with some discomfort in my SI joint from a flip turn gone wrong so I think I will have to dial it down a little .

Good morning Ghoulies and BT Challengers.  Got in another ralk yesterday during dinner break.  I'm at 21% of goal for the month.  How is everyone else doing?  Got to get your workouts logged so we can see who to crack the whip on, or send Dee out to taser.

I am behind on all three goals because I missed 1 session in each goal last week. Still hope to catch up on at least 2 before the month is over.

Ghoulies are at 29% (with a couple of them who have not updated their workouts) and BT World is at 42%.  We might need to get Dee out here with her taser to get everyone cracking (me included, LOL).

I've joined a walking challenge at work that wants you to get in 150 minutes a week of walking or exercise.  Should be easy to get in 150 minutes a week.  I already got in 105 between yesterday and Monday.  Hoping to win one of the Fit Bits or shoes that are the prizes.  The challenge lasts for 5 weeks.

Hmmm, wonder if we had a actual prize, would more people come back to the BT challenges?  We used to have around 100 participate in the challenges and now we are lucky to reach 20.  What changed?

Kendra that sounds awesome - good luck on the victory! I have no idea what is up with the challenges but it is kind of sad - use to be all day banter in the forums and cross-posting into other threads to egg them on. Now one thread never fills up during the whole month. Maybe the new site setup??

The challenges were sparse before the new set up. It is sad, I met lots of folks, had lots of fun and got my training in all at the same time.

Due to our substantial lead, the BT world is initiating a mercy rule!

Logged both the 10k from the weekend and a run around the lake yesterday, so my run % is looking good.  Plan is to swim today so that should bring up that goal.

Absolutely gorgeous fall weather and colors as I ran by the lake!  I am so happy to have this weather to enjoy

This has been a busy week, exercise wise.

Runs - 3 runs down, 1 long run to go (Sunday)
Swims - 1 down, 1 to go (Saturday)
Boot Camp - 3 down, 1 to go (tomorrow)

I have a knot in my back that doesn't seem to go away regardless of how much stretching I do.
Going to put a heat pack on it tonight.
