Wow, what is that? It also asks for an ID?

you have to set up a (free) account with the linked site. Then you have access to the bracket (NCAA basketball pool).  If you want in, you need to hurry as you will be locked out at noon eastern.

I do it based on schools/states that I like. Which likely won't serve me well. I mean, c'mon, Colorado?!

I'm a big fan of picking based on mascots. Hilltoppers for life!

Oh man, anyone else struggling with daylight savings? I mean, I appreciate the extra daylight in the evening but I always feel like I am clawing my way out of a sleep deficit. It also doesn't help to be doing marathon training.

Oh! And icing on the cake, I had to relearn that whole "Don't go out too fast..." lesson in my workout on Tuesday. OMG when you are feeling lactic at rep 3 with 9 to go you know it's not going to be a great time.

Yes, the time change is killing me like always! Right now I could easily fall asleep at my desk, but by tonight I will be wide awake and begging for sleep.

Sorry about the lesson relearned, that had to be unfun

Oddly, this time change doesn't seem to be affecting me much. I wake up naturally at 0600 and my body just... switched. The down side is that it is no longer light out, and I have been too  much of a klutz lately to run in the dark, so I've been running in the pm.

Seems like I should be happier with more evening light, but I like to workout in the morning, so I'm sad about running in the dark again. Hopefully not too much longer before the sun starts coming back to play before 7am!

Tempted to adjust work schedule by an hour every change. Could pull it off too.

I'm actually happy it's lighter i the evening, so I can do some after-work runs Mornings do not apply to me, although, my kids wake up and ask why do they have to get up already, if it's still night....

Man you guys start daylight savings early. It hasn't finished here for the summer yet.

Well actually the state I live in doesn't have it which is good. We trailed it a few years back for two years and then had a state wide referendum on whether to adopt it permanently. Part of the problem here is often the hottest part of our day is between 2 and 4pm, a time when people are normally at work and kids at school. What they found during daylight savings was a massive jump in electricity use in the afternoons because people were home during the hotest part of the day and everyone was turning on their aircon.

Oh, I tend to like the summer hours better too. It's the change of the time itself that gets to me more though. Just leave that alone.

STACE FACE

It has been bloody hot here, except of course it won't be tomorrow--nice 'n' cold, windy and rainy for our team swim to Rotto!

Been a whirlwind (when am I not?!) since I went back to Jakarta weeks and weeks ago ... then it was back to Perth, straight to supporting Kingsley for the Rottnest Channel Swim, straight to New Zealand, was working there as well ... got back a week ago, have been working tons since too ...

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL GET WELL WISHES FOR MY KNEES

I'm all good now and back into training.

Aaaand we're off to swim back to Rottnest Island tomorrow, although thankfully in a relay team of 4. And I'm the untrained lead weight of the team, so basically they'll only toss me in as a relief swimmer when the 3 of them are so sick of swimming they just don't want to get in.

GO RACING MANATEES!!!

Just adding in that Season 2 of Daredevil on Netflix drops TODAY! I tell myself I'll save it for my workouts, but we all know this means there'll be a Laura-shaped indent on the couch this weekend.

I couldn't get into that one. I'm loving the Flash though!

Kimmie Schmidt season 2 hits April 15th.
And on HBO VEEP April 24th.

April is a good month!

I'm equal opportunity! Love me some DC & Marvel in equal measure, although obviously none will ever compare to the joy of a weekend full of Star Trek.
Anybody else watching DC's Legends of Tomorrow? It makes D-list superheroes (and anti-heroes) fun to watch. Two thumbs up.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
