Thank you for being such a great pod.  You all mean the world to me and your loving kindness truly makes a difference.  I believe that things happen for a reason and for the last six years this has made me appreciate and savor every stroke, pedal, and step of what I love to do.  We are all pretty fortunate to be able to do what we do and even more so to have such great friends to share it with.  I'm not going to say much more about it all as I prefer to just carry on.

J off to Orlando all week for a "nerd" convergence...also know as Association of Energy Engineers.  Bought a 2008 Land Cruiser on Friday. Went to see this movie last night for date night. Wow, solid stalking, Erin! Oooooh that nerd convergence sounds amazing! I took a look at the programming. I'm diving into some really exciting renewable stuff at work. There are a couple of promising technologies that might work well for our typology. 

Speaking of nerds, I did a big trail run on Sunday with a bunch of atmospheric scientists. It was pretty awesome. And nerdy.

Great job racers! It sounds like everyone had a lot of fun and success. I'll get to my report at some point but the race went well and I clinched the series! I won some really cool stuff including a Suunto watch (LOL) but I am pretty excited because it's got a compass and altimeter which I will actually use! The gps and HRM stuff, eeeeeh maybe.

Ha! Should I be embarrassed to say I've never had one?!  I keep thinking I should try it though.  Maybe in December when fall arrives!

During one of our road trips this weekend DH and I were at a SBux in Gallup NM. I ordered a flat white and the man in line behind me asked what that is so I explained it. He ordered a flat white and a new fan is born.

Oh and speaking of different coffee and brewing methods and respecting the bean, our friends brought us  a Vietnamese brewing set back from their trip. I love me some Vietnamese coffee! Of course, what isn't better with sweetened condensed milk lol

Well, I have to admit, I am not a coffee snob.  If it has caffeine, I will drink it.  So, while it is not something that I will drink on a regular basis, if it's put in front of me, I wouldn't know the difference...

Scans yesterday did not go so well.  Small something they saw last time and wanted to keep an eye on is now of greater concern.  Tomorrow doc takes to their tumor board to decide whether to surgically remove or do further testing.  Conversation didn't go so well with this doc.  He starts talking about palliative care over curative care.  I thought that was a bit premature since he was only 50/50 on it being the same thing I had before or something less.  He agreed somewhat and said he was just trying to be realistic.  Either way I didn't think I'd make it this far after the last bout six years ago so am still thankful overall.  All I wanted to do was go for a run which I did when I got home.  It brought me great relief.
