Comments:

Great run for me - PR by around 3 minutes (from race 3-4 weeks ago). Started out weaving around people (probably should have started a little farther up) until Wisteria, where it spread out a bit. Hit the first mile right on my target for the day. Paced off my effort level from the first mile and that seemed to work out great! I paced off an old guy in front of me for probably 3-4 miles - he had an awesome pace (I want to be fast like that when I'm old!!) - since Kirk decided to actually run his own race after the first 2 miles. I just kept picking people in front of me and trying to catch them, worked pretty well. The last 1.2 was especially tough, but I just kept reminding myself how great I would feel after I finished.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around - grabbed a purple gatorade (better than I expected) and watched Courtney finish (and PR!). Kirk actually missed me finish, because he didn't expect me to finish this quickly. :)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I'm very happy with this race, not sure I had any limitations other than speed and experience. :)

Event comments:

This is a great race - this is my 3rd or 4th year participating. The course is excellent, perfect place for a PR. Weather always pulls through - running in the snow is cool, running in the rain would have been miserable. Chili at Kroger when picking up your shirt after the race was wonderful! Dana does a great job with all her races - highly recommended!!

I am really proud of you for this race (as you should be of yourself). You have done so well and gotten so fast over the past few years (and especially so far this year). I know you have it in you to go sub-50 next time.

I really like that race too. Something about racing down the trail is very cool. Great race for you. Like I said on the inspire, your running is looking awesome. No bar is too high. Keep it up.
