I'm planning on the sprint in August.

My run training level is not up to longer distances yet.

I LOVE the PTC races! But this year I'm bumping up to an HIM and the Florida 70.3 is the same weekend. I did it last year though, and had a great time.

Good Luck and race safe!

I'm going to be there too. Haven't done any of the the PTC races before but have heard good things.

I am in and ready to rock.  I have been ready for months.  This is a warm up race for my KS 70.3, but I can't wait to blow out the pipes.

Is there any good rally place at the race for BT'ers?

I'm there. No swim fitness (not that I'd be fast anyway), reasonable bike and run fitness, but I live within walking distance to the start, so I had to sign up. Did the race last year as a team with the girlfriend, and it is a good one, with the staggered swim start just like the sprint. Expect a few hills on the bike course.

PTC Tri is a sprint correct? I might add this race to my August docket.

Correct me if I am wrong, but

550 Swim/12.4 Bike/5K Run

This could be a perfect tune-up for my HIM in September.

There are two races in PTC.  The one tomorrow is an Olympic/International Distance (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run).  The one in late August is a Sprint.

The International is smaller race (about 350) and the Sprint is much larger (1000?).

I did the International last year.  Really liked it.  Can't do it this year as I am dealing with a back injury.  But I'll be out on the bike course cheering you all on as a traffic control volunteer.

I was out of town for last year's Sprint, but hope to be in better health by the time it comes this year.

Look forward to seeing y'all out there tomorrow.

Doing the race as a relay with an out of town friend (his first race).  Have no swim fitness and back is still questionable ... good times.

Yell if you see me. Black bike, black aero helmet, black Zipp disc and 808 front.

Back of the pack.

EDIT: Is there a bottle exchange this year, if so, will there be water?

This race was a blast last year- and BBQ at the finish! I hate to have to miss it this year, but good luck to all those who are racing!

Another quality race by the Bramblett's ... we're lucky to have them this close to home.

Bike course had a little more grade than I thought it would.  Swim was nice (except the "seaweed" towards the end of the course).

2X  I actaully forgot about the weeds.  You could tell you were getting close the bank because it got thicker and thicker.  Very funny.  I should have put it in my RR.
