Ya know how you mow down for a few days and you weigh yourself and think WOW, nothing hap'd, then keep going and WHAM, it catches ya. SOOO, this day forward, I'm really gonna try tonight to avoid the Ben and Jerry's and the chips and the salsa. I swear, I think it's that when I have to put on jeans it reminds me but summer clothes are so much more forgiving, capris, shorts, not as confining. I totally relate to this my bad eating doesn't show on the scale for a few days and I think oh no problem I'm training alot so I can get away with this... then a few days after that BAM a 3 to 4 lb gain and I'm trying to learn how to not overeat again which is always alot harder when I've let it go for days on end. |

I'm on the road for work Sunday night through Friday night -- not easy to eat healthy when I'm eating out that much. I'm going to try and make a grocery store run and at least make my lunches healthy, and avoid dinner out at least twice. That's the plan, at least. Salads are always a good choice when eating out. I always get the dressing on the side, that way I can decide how much I want. I find the more I do that, the more I enjoy just a bit of dressing and I don't like my salad smothered in the stuff anymore. This week weigh in: 236 I think that's 0 loss from last week. Oh, well - probably means I need to start maybe working out again... you think? |

Member 63 Portland Oregon | Subject: RE: TEAM SKINNY (June 08) A mid year New Beginning Really put myself on an eating schedule, and I try to break a sweat everyday no matter what. This seems to be helping, but the real question is can I be consistent?? The 10-yr high school reunion in two months may be the kicker that I need. Although, the family IS flying in for the Portland Brew Fest is in July-- uh oh.. Have a Great Week everyone! |

I pretty confident that the next few wks should prove rewarding. Just got to stick with it. |

Oh, well - probably means I need to start maybe working out again... you think? With the salad issue, I know what you mean. Whenever I've eaten out and ordered salad with the dressing on top, they DO slather it on. So disgusting. It's like, if I wanted that much dressing I would have just ordered the salad, nix the salad-- or just the bottle of dressing! For yrs now I've gotten the dressing on the side. It usually seems to be just enough. My problem is that I prefer Italian dressing, but the ones they give at rest's taste funny to me, so I have to get the Ceaser, with the dressing on the side. (Still Ceaser dressing--mayo!) |

Sapph, I take some chocolate from France. I love people that travel. |

Its the drinks and desserts that will kill you.... Really??! Huh. And my problem isn't usually the drinks. Sometimes it's the desserts, but I'm okay skipping those (mostly). But - the portion sizes - that gets me every time. I always struggle a bit when I'm thrown off my routine. Just a matter of trying to make good decisions, one by one. Do you like fish? Usually you can get very lean, very cleanly prepared fish...salmon, tuna steaks, etc. Grilled/broiled with no sauce. And some veggies. (I assume you eat veggies, even if Saling doesn't). That's what I ate at restaurants when I was being good. Now, not so good. |

Saturday I am throwing a bachelor party seeing I am the best man in next weekends wedding and we are renting a motorcoach service to take us 3 hours to a Detroit Tigers game. So the problem. 32 dudes, 2 bottles of Jager, 2 1/2 gallons of Captain Morgan, 12 cases of beer, 3 sandwich trays, 5 bags of chips, 10 decks of cards..... ooh this is going to be bad. Safe to say I don't think we'll get our deposit back on the bus. |
