Pre-race routine:

Got up at 4am and ate a PB bagel, banana and coffee. Long walk with our bikes and gear down to the transition area. Got there a little later so no room to rack my bike. One woman was nice enough to squeeze me in though. Saw Deanna and found out we were in the LAST wave of the day. Ran into sgoehner, scoob and djdavey and his friend. Saw Phil..he held my bike while I registered..thanks Phil :) Chatted with Morey, Schmize, Jmwebbs, Peggy, Pseudoyams and PJ.

Got on my wetsuit and went for a quick swim. COLD!!!

Swim felt pretty good. Need to concentrate on my form. Was kicked quite a bit...we were all swimming in a pack for awhile. I tried to stay to the left and concentrate on sighting because I tend to get off course.

First mile was tough but eventually got into a rhythm. Saw Deanna as she flew by me. Eventually caught up with her and hung with her the rest of the run. She kicked it in the end and beat me by 2 seconds..nice job Deanna :)

Stretched a bit, met up with Craig and the other donks to chat. Ate the post-race fruit...where was the beer???

Beautiful weather and great company!! Just enjoyed the race!! Would do this one again.

Hey good job muchacha! Had I known about this race I may have done it instead of the Madison Half Mary! Then I could get some OWS practice AND see you guys!!!

Nice work out there. It's always good to see old people still exercising.
