As for red and blue: My wife has always prefered red, I'm partial to blue. I have had a blue road bike since 1986. It still runs good, and the guys at the shop are amazed at what good shape its in for its age. My wife rode two red bikes to their deaths in just a couple of years. I have had a blue pickup truck since 1990. Runs great. Between about 1992 and 2002, my wife drove a red passenger car to its death...and a red suv to its death. So if red is faster than blue...do we need to take into consideration that red...ummm....can't last as long? (Incidently, Mrs. desertsix now has BLUE mountain bike, silver road bike, and gold passenger car...all are healthy and doing fine.) |
