Double your pleasure July-December (Page 3)

Right now I am 5 hours/ 54 miles from matching, so if I stay motivated I don't think I will double the hour/mileage but I should do more than what I did.  Festivities are already getting in the way, not to mention work.

232 miles to go for the double double, am closing in on 2500 miles biked for the year, but that rain and snow.... gona be a long 232 on the trainer... /cringe.

Good thing Santa is brigning cold weather gear. Wind proof/waterproof gloves, jacket and tights. Hrm not manly to call them tights... biking pants. Neopreme shoe covers, warm looking hat/mask and a rain cover for the helmet.

I will be all bright and cheery with the big sale on red, blue, yellow and grey gear.

I have some cold weather gear ordered that should help. I did 60 miles in the rain at 50 F with a 25 mph wind... got pretty cold, too many numb body parts. I think the waterproff gloves and leggings should help alot. And, we don't even have any rain forcast for this weekend yay. I am closing in on the 1000 miles run 2500 biked goal, by the end of the month or mid Dec. for sure.

Yay!!!  Today's ride put me over my goal of 1660.8 miles for the year.

Unless i do a LOT of extra riding, i'm not going to make it. i'm following Jorge's cycling power dealio, and i don't know that i'll have the energy to do anything else! heh.

Double double goal met, 800 ish miles Jan to June and just finished 2500 miles for the year, now I am ready to start on next year's goal.... but wait it is not the end of December yet... 8).

Congrats to those who've already finished! It's going to be close for me. I was pretty slow to get back into the biking after my IM in August. JorgeM's biking program has gotten me moving again but as of now I've still got almost 180 miles to do to meet the challenge. It's still within reach, I think, especially if I add in a longer weekend ride or two. At the same time, I've noticed a nice round number coming up on my year-to-date running and I may try to push for that too, so getting the bike time in will take some work. Anybody else cutting it close?
