And the pros are off... AGers are about to go off.  Looks like a beautiful day.  Wish I could be there if only to watch..

I'll tell you what, this swim start is brutal, the contact never let's up, it's just a constant 2.4 mile battle.

Looks like Potts has a huge lead. I know you can't win the race in the swim but where do you guys think he'll finish?

Yeah.

I'm looking forward to watching him but I think the men's side is so stacked that he'll be lucky to make the 8 or 9. Anything can happen though.

I can easily see this day ending up as being one of the top 5 least productive I've ever had...

I think that's most IM days for me.  I love watching them.  Wish they got more TV coverage.

Ha.  My wife just asked me if I was going to sit in front of the computer all day.   "Well, yes"

It's a good thing I'm on the East Coast, so I had enough time to get a long run in this morning before this started. I don't think anything else is going to happen today for me.

I'm really excited that there is commentary. This is the first Ironman I am watching online and I expected to just have video. This is like a regular television show.

I wonder why Sanson and Potts are swimming next to eachother.  Don't you think they'd be faster taking turns drafting off of eachother?

While I think Potts is really motivated after missing the Olympics, I don't think he'll be in the top ten at the end of the day.
