Champion 5312 Calgary | Subject: 4 Beer Mile Little Friday afternoon/eveing quiz. I know this has probably been hashed out before but I would like some numbers. Good idea, bad idea, plain stupid idea. Share your stories if you got them. A little youtube search showed some great videos. Personally, it is on my things to do list. |

Giver 18427 | Subject: RE: 4 Beer Mile betsy - 2008-10-17 5:22 PM On a track, chug a beer every quarter. First one done with the mile and the beers wins. Of course, in the case of the beer mile, winning is pretty subjective.BigDH - 2008-10-17 5:20 PM Little Friday afternoon/eveing quiz. Queen BTich 12411 , | Subject: RE: 4 Beer Mile I think he's talking about Hashing. Active (named) Hasher here. There are a handful here on BT as well: Jdicarlo, butchcantswim, and a couple others. Great fun, great social activity, great people. Now, if you're talking about a BEER MILE, that is different than Hashing. In that case, what I just said never existed. Done the mile too, very....foamy.... Edited by Comet 2008-10-17 4:28 PM |

Pro 3906 St Charles, IL | Subject: RE: 4 Beer Mile Dunno, what's a krispy kreme run? Beer mile = 4 laps at a track, 1 beer consumed before each lap. Penalty lap if you hurl. Fastest combined time wins. Go here. |

I dont think any allows it...from what I have read and heard from others people are contacted at the last minute told to bring a DD and head to the place they decide. Typically nobody but a few will know where and when it will take place and those that participate are kinda on call |

Champion 9430 No excuses! | Subject: RE: 4 Beer Mile Friends of mine do it every year on New Years Eve in a local neigborhood. A great way to start off the evening. I will not get a chance to participate this year due to my wifes scheduled c-section that morning. Ah maybe she let me go? |

Elite 3201 South Florida | Subject: RE: 4 Beer Mile I want to try both. Except 4 miles and a dozen donuts in an hour would be tough for me since 4 miles alone would take me at least 40-45 minutes. Give me an hour and a half and I'd win!
Or maybe I could combine them - 3 miles, 1/2 dozen donuts and two beers to wash them down?? |

One more race to add to my list of events for 2009! Perhaps we could start a Series! In New England, it would have to be done with Dunkin Donuts. I'm telling my wife about this one! WOW! It would be much harder with Dunkin Donuts - the donuts are so much heavier! I'm kind of a donut expert. |

I just ran 3.5 Miles last night right after downing 1/2 lb of corned beef with cabbage and carrots and potatoes and horseradish sauce! It didn't work out very well, but I Finished! Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: 4 Beer Mile Yeah, I think you'd have to use donut holes instead of whole donuts from Dunkins. Besides, Dunkins sux. (runs and hides, ESPECIALLY from all the already-angered Sox fans...) Closest thing I've done to the donut thing is my college has a yearly tradition that should be happening any day now (maybe today!!!!) wherein we are awoken by the ringing of the chapel bells and the seniors running through the halls banging pots and pans. This is our cue to head to the dining hall in pjs, where we consume vast quantities of Krispy Kremes (and essentially nothing else) for breakfast. We then dress in the wildest, most outrageous outfits we can find and hike up the local mountain. At the top, we have a full southern lunch and chocolate cake and a day of skits. Best. Day. Ever. Gotta try the beer mile, though. Wonder if it would work on a hiking trail? |

Runner | Subject: RE: 4 Beer Mile So passe. Go for the double century: 100 miles. 100 beers. 1 week. At Penn State, they used to have an annual race, the Phi Psi 500. Run down College Ave, then back on Beaver Ave, stopping for a beer at every bar. There's a lot of bars on those two streets.... |

Mount Holyoke College? No way - Hollins. I guess Holyoke has something similar, though, from what I've heard. Ours is better, of course. ETA: Holyoke wouldn't have Krispy Kremes, they'd have Dunkins.
