Hi K!!!

Hiya!  How's it?  Happy birthday, late!  Right?  I think so.

Oh, and I figgered out what was wrong with the "quote" thing...it was that I was hitting "reply."  Sigh...I struggle.

Hey Kiley sorry I didn't get back to you in time. I'll map a route and send it to you. Guaranteed to get those scrawny yet strangely sexy volleyball legs in cycling shape in NO TIME!

Just a short little hi before I go back into doing some work.

Crowny. Good on the race broham!

Thanks.  That was a hard mfing race.  Some wicked hills.

Oh, and check out the "Dumb Award, non-driver" thread in Tri-Talk.  I went postal on three blonds walking in the middle of the bike chute.

Not exactly what I heard.  The guy from my tri club said it was easy.

When you have absolutely no hills to train on, at all, it was not an easy race.  combo that with some wicked wind and it made for a hard race.  At least one of the hardest I have done.  Definitely the most technical.  Especially topping out at 37-38 mph on a curving downhill with wind trying to blow you over the side, ala Giro crash from Saturday.

I have no doubt it was a ridiculously tough course.  I've been riding with Jeff Paul lately.  He's an unbelievable athlete.  Had to swap down to his 808/1080 combo for the race because he thought his 1080/disc would be a bit much in the wind.  I'm going to start hill training with him next week.  And yeah, I bet it's a bit hillier in Galena than the Chicagoland area.

Don't get me wrong.  I loved it.  So much so I'm doing it again next year.  Just did some quick research, and the big hill about 1/2 way through was a 4-5% grade and it was 0.8 miles long.  I passed about 12 people on that hill going up and never got out of the saddle.  talk about a major ego boost.
