Take a look at my training log.  I obviously need to crank it up a notch in preparation for my first Oly.

After looking at my logs, what what would YOU recommend that I concentrate on with about 8-10 hours of training time per week?

Thanks!!!

I would cut back on the swimming a bit.  That 50 hour swim on Thursday was a little excessive.

More. just....more.

Your peak week in the last month was barely to 5 hours of tri training. You're averaging about an hour a week on the bike. If you have 8-10 hours a week to train, what are you doing with 3-5 hours of that per week?

I'd get one of the basic 3x week/sport Oly training plans and follow it, but my basic advice is more, with an emphasis on adding bike mileage.

Are you referring to the Nation's Tri?
s:1600 yds, b:25 miles, r:6 miles

If so, you seem to have been doing the swim portion distance, but it does not appear you have done any significant length with your run and bike training.  That would appear to be where you need to step it up.

Increase your long runs to 6-9 miles. Introduce your self to the bike. Any increase in running will be for nothing if you eat your legs on the bike.

I have been babying my knees since Shamrock Marathon, but now they are feeling somewhat better, after 6 frigging weeks.

The theme that I am getting is a lot more bike, some more running, and maintain the swim volume.

More swimming too. Increase the amount of each session, instead of adding another session.. for times sake.

this is just my non-coach thought: (feel free to tell me I'm full of it)

I would keep your swimming where it is (or up it a little) and focus on ramping up your bike and run. Then, say 5 or 6 weeks out of the race, start dropping your bike and run volume, but increase the intensity. Work more tempos and intervals into the mix (and bike-run brick), but still keep a longish run and ride on alternating weekends. Use your extra time during the week to swim more. During your heavy bike/run weeks, you might also throw in an occasional rest week where you cut back the running/riding and spend more time in the pool.

The step up has begun.  Team TPR Tricamp this past weekend helped to focus me. Check out my log.

That's what I would suggest - you ARE on a triathlon training team, right? Perhaps your coach would have some suggestions.
