VT v. BAMA is Saturday not tonight.  I'm hoping the Tide destroys the ever living poop out of the Hokies.  Man I hate those friggin' jacklegs.  Hokie fans are the most annoying fans ever.

I'm more fired up for my alma mater playing tonight.  The mighty Indiana Hooisers are taking on Eastern Kentucky.

I'm sensing a rose bowl run of IU this year.  Look out Ohio State and Penn State.

i'm conflicted on oregon vs BSU. as a beaver fan i should really get out the duck voodoo doll. but, i hate to see pac-10 eat s **t in the out of conf games.

I love this time of year but I have no idea how I am going to get up at 5 am to get a swim in. 

I am not sure who I would root for in the VT vs. Bama game.  VT and their thugs, still pissed about Marcus Vick stomping one of my favorite Louisville players at the time down in Jacksonville.  Bama fans on the other hand are like the football equivalent of Kentucky basketball fans.  I wish there was a way they could both lose.

My bad! I got ahead of myself.

I'm more pumped for the Oregon/Boise game myself.  But I can't stay up that late.

Might I recommend to all on here that stopping to get flowers (not flowers) on the way home is a good way to start setting a tone that will allow you to actually watch some of the football this weekend...

Why do they have blue turf?  Just a goofy gimmick?  If that's the case, when does Clemson put-in the orange turf?

Last year was a dream season for the Cincy Bearcats. This year with Tony Pike and Mardy Gilyard I think the Big Eaast is up for grabs again! Oooooooooooh ooooooooh ooooooooooh U - C cannot wait to hear the cheer again! Best time of the year.

Dangerous combination.  Very Very Dangerous.  You could get Week 1 Overdose and end-up in withdrawals leading into Week 2 that features USC/Ohio State.

Just be careful.  College Football is powerful stuff.

I'm with you ... not an Oregon fan (I'm an Arizona Wildcat, BEAR DOWN!!), but I'm pulling for the Pac in all non-conference games this year ... except for ASU.  I hope they go 0 - 11 this year

i think it's a progressive reverse camoflauge strategy. their uniforms are blue (school colors and all that). so to hide from the enemy they changed the color of their surroundings.

I don't care who wins tonight, I'm rooting for COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! WOOT!!!

Good early season. 2nite we got the Boise/Oregon, game aside, I'm jacked to see what kind of uni's Oregon busts out.

Then VT/BAMA, and pretty soon (can't remember the date) we've got FSU/Miami. Someone's dream gets crushed early in a very, very good football game.

However....I always debate with the boys over a pint or twenty the best sports timeframe during the year....I'm tempted to say September. Good College and Pro football, Uefa and champions league soccer, the Vuelta, transfer season in cycling and soccer, US Open Tennis, and Fedex cup golf for 4 weeks, baseball pennant races, plus the nascar chase if you care. 

It's a good time to be a sports fan.  

Boise is rolling the Ducks up!  Oregon's D has brought the lumber on some hits though.
