Subject: Denver for Dime
Triathlon Sean and I are in the initial stages of setting up a fundraising team for the Denver Marathon and would like to invite anyone else who is running the Denver Marathon, whether the full, the half or even a relay to considor joining us in running the race for Richard Paradis aka "Dick Dime". Our fundraising will be linked to Dime's official sight and will probably consist of getting pledges as well as outright donations. We also have a friend who is doing Dublin for Dime as well. Let me know if anyone else is interested or has fundraising experience and can give me advice.
Thank you, Fil

OK, I'll be our 4th leg on the relay. Wow. This was nowhere on my radar but I felt the good karma on Sunday.

As chief fundraiser for "Team Dime" the group that is managing Richard's personal details, I have to thank all of you in advance!!! We are ecstatic that we have raised more than $15K for Richard in the last three weeks, but we have a whole lot more to raise considering his expected very long recovery and all the associated costs.

I know you have a full plate so far but I may need a little help and guidance just to make sure that "Denver 4 Dime" is done right by you, Greg and Drew.

Is there such a thing as a 26-person relay?

Any thoughts for next spring/summer and Tri For Your Cause? Not sure of their rules for what constitutes a cause...non-profit org etc.

I'll do the half for sure.. And Tony might be in too if his pink panties aren't in a bunch.

I'm more worried about my foot that close to the IM. My pink panties are completely unbunched as of right now. I'd do the full but I don't want to make you look bad, Robyn.

Well, I'm not the one wearing pink panties.

So should we just have people donate straight through Paypal at the DickDime website?

So do we 'officially' have a BT Denver-for-Dime relay then?  ffstock, mcgilmartin, kath2163 and me (stmaas)?
From the looks of the map, 4 is what you get, and the distances are fixed...I know which one I'd like to call dibs on, but my new plan calls for an 8 miler that day.

I'm in for it, Kath is too. I'm a better 10K than 5K, so I'll be happy to do the longer leg. Just need that 4th. This will be fun, and a way to keep in shape for one more month. Look out December, though

This is great!
As I told Matt, I would be best in the first leg as I will be the slowest of the group at that is the shortest distance.  I hope you guys aren't planning on breaking at relay records If so then I might not be the best choice. But, if that isn't important, then I am in.

Well, looks like we had a FANTASTIC response! You know I'm in of course already... so now let's figure out how we can get to raising some FUNDS for Richard! What do we have going so far? I plan on doing some email blasts with friends and then seeing if we can plan a fundraising event to represent our Denver for Dimes Marathon crew! Maybe we can plan something with a concert or a bar event... any ideas folks?
