Not at all. Yet again you are making an assumption (as you'd done many times in other threads) which isn't true. I never wanted to shave my legs for a looong time. I don't need half-baked excuses to justify why I shaved my legs. I DID read this thread yesterday and the idea all of the sudden got stuck in my head. I figured why not, jumped into the shower and did it. Do I really care what others think about it... not really

I guess my point is that you are entitle to express your opinion (that you are anti-leg shaving) but you can’t make an assumption like the one you did because most likely you’ll be wrong.

Did I tell you I consider myself a “Triathlete”  Now I am one with shaved legs

i shave everything, arms included, but i'm a girl, so i guess it's ok.  the really funny part of it is when the hair on my arms grows for a few days i find myself petting them.  it kinda feels like a  buzz cut.

I don't know about painting the toe nails. Isn't that for marathoners? That doesn't make sense to me, but neither did shaving my legs.

i'm a marathoner and i don't pain my toenails.  Why do some people do it? is it because of the black nail thing?  i have a better solution, buy shoes that fit properly.

I guess comments like "You'll be painting your toenails by the end of the week", aren't the obvious joking remarks I thought they were. I suppose if I made a jopke about male leg shavers being "too sensitive" the joke would be missed?

The avatar is IronMan. I think it's a cool alternative to the overused M-Dot logo. Nothing more, nothing less.

As I have said before I have buddies that are 6'0 255 (bodybuilders, powerlifters, etc) that shave their legs. I joke them for shaving everything, they joke me b/c I'll never sniff a 400-lb bench press.

Ya gotta love the way "leg-shavers" rally together to defend the cause. =)

This is certainly not the first and only leg shaving thread on the internet. It doesn't taker long to read them and see that most guys are doing it for "non-sport" reasons. Most guys are not [1] crashing their bikes (dressing wounds) daily, or [2] getting daily leg massages, or some other sport reason. Most guys are doing it because [1] they're curious, [2] the pros do it, [3] they like the look/feel, [4] they thinks chicks dig it, [5] everyone else in triathlon does it, [6] some other reason.

I am making an assumption ... but one that is based on reading many comments regarding the subject. If you are doing it for sports reasons, I apologize.

Legs, chest, and face. Gorilla hairy legs look dumb in cycling shorts. Hair poking out of a shirt collar is best left in the 1970's. The real reason to shave is weight reduction. Every gram counts

An excellent reason to shave: Team Chyck prevailed in the swim challenge!

Triple-bladed razors provide a very nice shave. Use gel to keep the legs (and wherever else) smooth and nick free. We thank you for posting your smoothy selves!

I never have and probably never will shave for two reasons:

1- My legs are so hairy it would take far too long to make it worthwhile.

2- I'm incapable of bringing a razor that close to my crotch.
