Hey Doug, I think we ran passed each other today on the course by green level and green hope school road. I was the dude w/o a shirt trying to figure out where to turn next. I think it was you who passed with the IOSDT shirt. I was just finishing a 9 mile loop which kicked my butt. I'll be out there again for sure next weekend, I'm super slow!

That was me. I ran 10 by myself and then met up with Harold and we did another 8.5+ . We talked about meeting up again next weekend. Maybe you can join us.

Getting excited here too! Looks like nice weather most of the weekend so hopefully that 40% chance of rain goes away :-) Anyway, my family will be milling about at the 12.5 mile mark (of the half course) so if you see two little boys with bells yelling at you to go faster, those might just be mine. And you had better go faster at that point because I might give them eggs to throw at you. I'll print you avatar out so they know who to throw them at. :-) Now, if you are doing the marry, I'll finish the half (hopefully) and then loop back to cheer you on (and throw those eggs!). Anyway, good luck to everyone. Should be a nice event.

That would be pretty funny if I saw someone out there with eggs, you should do that. :-)

I'm getting pretty excited, I love running on rail trails.  I haven't seen this trail before either.  Pretty amazing that they sold out an inaugural race like this.  Hopefully there won't be any inaugural-type hiccups.  Once I did an inaugural marathon and everyone was directed the wrong way on the course, screwing up all the mile markers from then on out.  These guys should be solid though.

Anybody up for a 6:30 am 4-5 mile EZ pace run from Wimberly Saturday morning (3/20)?  I get all jittery on race weekend, and this is my release.  If you want to run, come on out.  That's when I'll be there.  I'll be in the BRIGHT yellow Umstead marathon shirt and GU visor.

I'll go as easy or as hard as anyone wants to go, as long as it's no faster than 8min/mile.

Less than 24 hrs until Ice Bath and a BEER or 2 or 3!!!! What's everyones numbers? and finish time goals? I'm 736 and plan on a leisurely 26.2 finishing between 4:20-4:30. Coming off some achilles issues so it'll be slooooww and steady. The best of luck to all. And may you have a healthy, safe and enjoyable run!!!

Bib 2027 (I think). I might just wear the actual race shirt (or is that a no-no?). Otherwise probably my blue Triangle Tri shirt, or my green Pinehurst Tri shirt. Goals: Break 1:40. Real goal: 1:38. My "Man, I had a fantastic day and was hopped up on adrenaline goal": 1:35.
