A  mistake on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

Unfortunately most PCPs on missing the correct diagnosis for 6 weeks or more do not feel this way and I am supposed to drop everything and fix their mess up....Guess what the dye is cast....

I like this one a lot too, I don't know why, it's just so right - "Every so often the dog has to battle the bear just so he can call himself a dog again." - Faulkner

"Who wants to call himself a dog?" - the bear

There are so many great quotes here.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.-- Dena Strum

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in hand, favorite beverage in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, 'WOO HOO, what a ride!'

Unless your the lead dog, the scenery never changes

These are my favorites, I don't know who said them however.

On to favorite movie quotes...

"Two dollars, I want my two dollars."

"Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way... turn."

From another movie and one of my all-time favorites
"My dear Chauvelin, I would not dream of denying you your moment of triumph. Alas, a moment was all I could spare."

Hey Bear…

I’m pretty sure Faulkner was using metaphors.

Bears are usually associated with pain and failure.  Unbearable.  Barely finished.  A bare-bones plan.  Lost his bearings.  See what I mean?  (Just thinking out loud - why would a bear who always gets his head caught in picanic baskets be considered “smarter than the average bear?)

But dogs represent tenacity and the will to win.  Dogged pursuit.  Top dog.  Alpha leader.

Now stop hounding me, doggone it.

Too many to quote...

Best quote EVER starts out in my sig line.

"I'll bet your mama could suck-start a Harley"

"Good times...GOOD times..."

"You are doing a wonderful job of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory"

"I fear that somewhere a villiage is missing an idiot"

"He sets low expectations of himself and consistently fails to achieve them"

"It's on....It is so on" (Swingers)

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew to serve your turn long after they are gone, and so hold on when there is nothing in you except the will which says to them: 'Hold on!' -- Kipling

NOW this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back—
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.
-Kipling

For some reason I am a big Kipling fan.

"Your health is your wealth"

This was said to my friend every morning when she went walking - by an old old man who did stretching on the beach at the crack of dawn.

My friend later got breast cancer and realised as we all should HOW TURE that statement is. Think about - without your health - you have nothing - you can't work, train, play, enjoy.
It has to be the quote of your life - remember it and LIVE it!
OK - off the soap box now. Bye
