jwbrandon - 2010-06-26 7:36 PM Yeah, that hill looks fun......you are not going to be the only person walking up it tomorrow.  Maybe someone will be kind enough to put a lemonade stand up somewhere in the middle.

Darn, that would be funny!  If only I knew where I would be on the bike course I would make a lemonade sign for you Wink

Well, no lemonade stand....but there was a great group of people cheering and blowing horns not too far from that hill.

I was at the top telling everyone to enjoy that DOWNHILL ride cause they were sure to be 5 minutes faster going down than up!

Great race put on by 3sports and whoever else.  Great course, and nice to meet Dano.  Thanks for the bike course tips, helped me have a great ride.  Swim was 650.  I asked the race director!  Food was awesome, loved the covered trail run.  Glad it was early it was damn hot.  Cheers.

Well that explains the swim time... I came out of the water looked at my watch and thought I blew it LOL!  Bike was awesome came down the hill pushing 45 mph what a blast!  Rode up the hill dancing on my pedals the last 15 yards or so. Left nothing for the run though... Whoops!  Did the shuffle for about a mile 1/2 until I found some leg.  Then gave everything I had left in the tank.  Honestly the first time I saw stars at the finish of anything!  Looks like a 1:56 but I havent seen the official times yet.

Loved the course, food, people.  You know when my wife, non-competitor, says "This was fun, do it again next year", it's a good one.  My new favorite race I think.

Met Marilyn on the way to the swim start, missed the rest of you.  Sorry, I'll catch up to you at the next one!

Congrats to everyone!

Mark, sounds like you enjoyed the race. It was nice to meet you too, glad you had a good ride. I hope it was worth the trip from CO. I would think the summer weather out there would be better than here for outdoor sports. Have a safe trip home and come back next year.

I had a BLAST this morning, such an improvement over last year.  Met both Danos, chatted with Judi - at the top of the hill and post-race, and as much as I've been dying for this bbq, I could barely force it down.  I had a pretty perfect race, and then my boyfriend and I adopted the most adorable pup!!!  PERFECT DAY.

Mark,

Great job. 6th overall. The 2 guys ahead of you are very experienced 70.3 and full IM competitors. Your wife did very well also, I just barely beat her!

Cheers,
Dano
