Pre-race routine:

got up at 4:30, ate a good breakfast, drove to janesville
Event warmup:

what's a warm up? this was a ride, not a race, so the first 10 miles were w/up, and the rest was a nice long cool down

Comments:

great day for a ride. the course was really well marked, lots of nice people, great post ride lunch, non cheesy tshirt... I had a blast and that is my PR for distance! (although we did stop at each of 3 rest stops for water and peeing
What would you do differently?:

not much. I think I was ready, even if my riding has been weak lately.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

still not being a very string climber

Event comments:

whata fun day! I am dead dog tired right now, but very happy. made some new friends out there too. I love bike riding, or cycling as the big girls call it.

GREAT ride, Hollis!  Building up bike endurance is HUGE for triathlons!

Did your ITB bother you at all?

Way to put in the miles Hollis. Biking like that will give you a nice strong base for future triathlons. Congrats!
