Would anyone be interested in a short brick run too?

I promised myself I was never going to ride my bike again on Sunday. Not really a promise I'm willing to keep so count me in!

I am thinking of driving down from Prescott for this!  Sure, it's a 2 hour drive for me, but what the hey, I am retired and I have little else to do.  I will probably be the slowest rider here (certainly the oldest), but it would be a good chance to meet everyone.  I just need to know the exact meeting place (Tumbleweed Park, west side OK on the corner of E. Germann Rd?).  The satellite view on my mapping program shows a parking lot just south of that intersection...I just need something to plug into my GPS.

Put me down as a 50% maybe, I should be more definite by Friday morning!

Oh my Lord! Look what I just found!!!! I am feeling a strong urge to make this, and maybe the tailgating would be a good excuse!
A Cherpumple cake! (Think TurDukIn)
Spice Cake with an Apple Pie inside, then Chocolate Cake with a Cherry Pie inside and finally Yellow Cake with a Pumpkin Pie inside.  All encased in frosting!!!!

That looks awesome!

Max - Use this address it will get you close.

745 East Germann Road
Chandler, AZ 85286

I have hurt my knee so it will be a game time decision for me.  Otherwise, I'll be the designated tailgater.

Oh cool, thanks Wendell!  I will plug that in.  I figured as long as I got close, somebody might spot my car with the bike on the rack and take pity on me.

If Max makes it I will! Would be great to see you again. And god knows I need some exercise. So, count me in 50% too. I'm hovering on the edge of getting a cold (not enough sleep last week) hoping I can fight it off.

You are my hero Tanya! I'll carry you for the 25 miles if you bring that. I'll run with you Sally if you want to do a brick and I assume the Lindsey Lover will go too.

I'm guessing that it's going to be 2 PM at Tumbleweed Park, per Kim's post...but I could be wrong.

Rotorkim - 2010-11-10 12:09 PM I'm leaning toward a 2 p.m. start time for the ride. Perhaps two hours of riding and then tailgating at the park. I'll look into a beer permit for Tumbleweed park and reserve a ramada if there's one open on a Saturday afternoon...

Hey guys.... You can count Katherine and I in for this... since this is our first time coming out I guess bringing beer is the tradition. I've got this part down.

Here's the route for Sunday's ride:

http://www.mapmyride.com/route/us/az/chandler/739129063196946928

Nice, simple loop with minimal stop lights and wide shoulders or bike lanes. Although it's mapped counter-clockwise, I propose we go clockwise (down 87 to Riggs first and come back on Queen Creek) so the route is mostly right turns and we stay out of the way of traffic.

Start time is 2 p.m. from the Park n Ride on Hamilton and Germann (west side of Tumbleweed Park in Chandler). Please arrive about 1:45 so we're ready to roll around 2 p.m.

If you get lost or arrive late, call my cellphone at 480-710-8830.

See you all tomorrow!

Kim

Saturday or Sunday, Kim? The thread title and earlier posts were about Saturday. If this is for Saturday then I'll be there.

Don't worry it's still Saturday.  Kim's been drinking again and I try to keep her off the internet when that happens Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Argh. I have to get back to Flagstaff this afternoon--instead of tomorrow as planned. So no ride for me. Sorry I'll miss the fun. Cry
