Wow, cool vid, thanks. I had to google it to see if there were any injuries--thankfully apparently not. I had heard about them having to move the game, but didn't know the dome collapsed.

Gosh, who would've thought an inflatable dome in the harsh climate of Minnesota would turn out to be a bad idea.

That's more deflating than a Brett Favre interception to lose the NFC championship.

Sorry, too easy

I was thinking along the same lines.  Between the snow, ice, and wind, you would think someone would have said that the dome should have been some sort of "hard top", instead of a "soft top".

At least Detroit is going to have a good couple of days.  First, an upset win today.  Then, an extra influx of money tomorrow (food/beer, parking fees, hotels).

Cool video, I hadn't seen that.

I think the whole stadium business is frustrating. I don't care where these overgrown children play football as long as I don't have to pay for it.  (of course apparently not possible)

I don't see how have an open roof stadium with 20 inches of snow on the field would be better...

I'm sorry to be a hater, but I just do hate the Vikings and all of their "problems."

I am more upset that, I am guessing, the MDRA dome running will be out of the question for a while...

2nd. Once shortly after installation. There were two minor "incidents" aside form those, I think...

Domes collapse on occasion. Happens. I remember the UNIdome collapsing, etc.

They'll have it fixed in a week or so--shooting to be game ready for next monday's bears game.

And whether you like pro sports or not, you can't deny what a franchise like that does for the economy. ;-)

Jack Kent Cook paid for the Redskins stadium totally (I think) out of his own pocket.

People dont ever remember that for each game MILLIONS AND MILLIONS are pumped into the local economy. My condo in Chicago is close to Soldier Field and on home games, every bar and restaurant would be busy pre- and post-game. That's money those small businessowners never would've seen without that overgrown man's game.

Is anyone else excited to watch this game tonight?  I'm not talking about the game, I'm talking about the crowd.  Free tickets to anyone who wants to come?  Sounds like this could lead to some interesting bleacher behaviors.  If nothing else gives the homeless somewhere warm to hang out for a few hours.

Day-ham!  That hole is big enough to deep-throat a beer can!

Look at the bright side... the last time a dome was damaged with a big hole in the roof, the next year that team won the Super Bowl!

I have the NFL Network and the NFL Red Zone, but I don't think either of them are going to show it live. I would have loved to watch.
