Doug is a machine on the run...unless he has stomach issues, he will just keep ticking off the miles...good to see everyone pacing nicely and saving for the run.

Doug in at 12:25! Rest of team buttercup is trickling in. Karen around 13 and I think Steph and Katie sub 14 and Becky in around 14 based on last splits. I am not good at math either though.

Doug's 12:25 could be considered his best IM effort.  While B2b was 12:01, the swim had a strong current and pushed him to a :55.  He will not be mad at me for saying...he is not a :55 IM swimmer.  If you add the :25 back into that time (get's him back to his "real" time of 1:20), you get 12:26.

While all the courses are different, I say Doug had a PR day!

Karen looks like she is on track for a big PR.   Steph close to a couple hour PR?  Katie too!  Hopefully Becky will PR too - looks like she is struggling on the run - Go Becky !  Team Buttercup put in the training and it shows!

karen in at 13:16 pretty sure that is a pr for her. She is so solid!!! Such a good pacer.

Steph so far is having the smart race she planned. She should pr by an hour at least I think.  Katie is doing great too. i don't think she was super confident with her training.

thecaptin - 2011-09-11 11:24 AM Good old Doug...1:20 split on the swim...I think he actually skips the swim and just pays them to record 1:20 every year!  The man knows how to pace his swim.  Steph was right on his heels...come on Steph - chick him!

For the price of one frosty beverage I can teach you the key to an IM swim.  Obviously, it's not volume.

I was brought done by dehydration.  I'm not very good at staying hydrated and I fell way behind on the bike.  I started getting leg cramps and the run was excruciating.  I doubt I'll make that mistake again.

Awesome course and crowds at IM Moo.  Those people bring it!

Congratulations to Team Buttercup for an awesome showing!!!  I enjoyed watching each of you cross the finish line via the live feed.  The shirts made it easier to pick you out!  Impressed and inspired!!

Makes me want to do my first 140.6 with a team.

The key is to swim faster!  LOL...I will still go the frosty route because i always hedge my bets!

I thought I saw Doug pass me on the swim, and when I finished he confirmed this and beat me out of the water!  Good thing I really like swimming because it might be demoralizing otherwise.  ;

The key to the swim is not to swim in a zig-zag motion.  You still have to come over for frosty beverages, though, Captin.

Thank you guys for keeping tabs on us yesterday.  I could totally feel the love and waved whenever I passed over the timing mats. : )

The buttercups are AWESOME.  It is a feat to complete an IM but this team was having fun while doing it.  It takes a special person to finish but the ones who can have fun along the way know the true secret.
