Finally, I've got a real bike.  I'm absolutely dying to get out and ride it.  Its still just a little on the chilly side here in Minnesota.  That doesn't stop me from admiring it every day.

The bike definitely needs a name and I'm drawing a bit of a blank.  Any ideas?

Here's the requisite bike porn for your enjoyment!

Tom

Now you must put a good engine on it. I would recommend something in red.

Sweet Ride. Nothing like a new love interest without the guilt. Not that I ever had that problem, just sayin'.

As for the name, well it's yellow so it could be Texas Rose....no that sucks, how about Mellow Yellow...no that sucks too, banana's are yellow so you could call it 'nanner jean...no that reallllly sux. Oh well you're screwed.

No WAY I'm wearing red shorts.  Have you never seen the "pork chop short" thread with the pic of the cycling team in their red spandex shorts?!?!  Not a pretty sight!  Plus, black goes better with yellow, just as long as its not in alternating stripes.

Oh, that's too funny.  Gets my vote for funniest post of the day.

How about Banana Split?

If you ever crash (knock on wood) it could be Scrambled Eggs.

You should be able to take her out for spin today. Freakishly warm (by MN standard) today.

Oh you need a name, eh? How 'bout "Lemon"? How 'bout snow?

Congratulations!

Yellow has got to be the best colour for a bike.   How about calling him "Mellow Yellow" or "Mel" for short?!?

I tell you what. I'll do you a big favor. Let me ride it for a year or so to get a full flavor of the bike. I'll then be able to consult you on the proper name.

I would normally charge, but for you, I'll do it for free.

nice. man, you and kelly are both going to smoke me on the bike this year w/ the fancy new tri bikes! very cool. i think 'rogue'...after the brewing company. they have a yellow snow ale. that's what it made me think of for some reason. in a good funny way, not a bad pee way.

btw, bill is out riding this afternoon. its supposed to be 46 and sunny today! go ride! (just give her a little bath after. salt is bad bad bad).

Thanks, Autumn!!!  I like the idea of naming it after beer - that might be a candidate.

I may just get out today.  I don't have any cold weather cycling gear so I guess layering will be key.  Big mittens and aero bars don't normally compliment each other but we'll make today an exception.  Its not often that we hit 47 here in January.
