The only tracks I like to lay down are the ones in the sand as I make my way back to my beachchair with a cold Corona in hand.   But no sun and sand for me this winter.

We have been having a very mild winter.  Have not gone into the big deep freeze yet.  If the temps stay where they are you will need to bring your shorts to ski in.  I think they have been getting snow up North while we were getting rain here on in Montreal.

As my very wise 11 year old once siad to me: "I'd rather have snow in my face than sand in my shorts" God, i love that kid!

Yep...I put down tracks once or twice a week.  Last Saturday it was in 12-15 inches of blower powder under sunny skies!  I love living where I can ski anytime I want!

Let's see. I skied last weekend, and the one before that, and the one before that as well, and, uh, yep the one before that, too. This weekend, I'll ski on Saturday. And probably on Sunday if the snow's good (*fingers crossed*). I'll also most likely ski next weekend, too.

Yeah kinda like here in the northeast. I skied 12/22 in great conditions, then it rained, then it rained some more, then it was 60 degrees and i ran in shorts...Chomping at the bit. Taking my boys upstate on sunday. It'll probably be closer to ice skating than skiing but that's what makes us eastcoasters better skiers!

Actually, this is shaping up to be the warmest January on record in MT, so conditions have been pretty icy at our local ski area much of the time. Made me feel for you east coasters. Ice sucks!

I'm learning to tele, so I guess it's all the better for when I finally hit some good snow!

I am going to Snowshoe Moutain in West Virginia this weekend.  I'm so excited!  It's the first time I've been able to go skiing all winter - just too warm this year.

I wore my HRM while snowboarding last weekend (insert geek reference here) and was surprised to see how high my heart rate got-185! Well, that might have happened when I bailed, but I had assumed that I wouldn't get that kind of intensity snowboarding-XC skiing I work my @55 off.

Pray for snow...

Were are you headed.  wreck or ice or both?  There is a group is South east ontairo that do an Ice dive on a wreck.  its great, you don't need a boat, just an ATV to get you and your buddy to tha hole in the ice.   I ice dove once in a 6mm wetsuit.

I'm headed to Collingwood for a few days in Feb with my mom, sisters, aunt and cousins as a girls weekend away.  I think my sister and I are the only ones that will actually make use of the hills and go snowboarding though.  I'm looking forward to it.. makes the winter a whole lot more bearable.

I just started back downhill skiing this year...after a 26 year hiatus. I'm going to Steamboat the first week in February. My brother lives there now.

Aaaaah, Snowshoe!  Went there a year ago this week.   Busted my a$$ more times than I can count, but loved every second of it!

Yes I am lucky - my brother works for the resort - loves it there. I skied Steamboat a lot in the 70's when I was in college. I am sure a lot has changed. I am keeping my fingers crossed for some great weather and fab snow.

I'm heading west, to Quadra in BC, water temps only 45 farenheit.  I may be nuts, but something about diving when water turns to ice....  Altho I'd love to try ice diving sometime
