Victory, course record and he'll ride a stealthed-out P5.

Top 3 in his age group!

Seriously, I think he'll place top 5 overall. The only reason he didn't (likely) win the Xterra championship in Hawaii was because he crashed on the bike leg and bonked his head. He was in the lead when it happened, and the announcer's comment was that he 'paced himself' on the run as a precaution afterward. The guy is so incredibly competitive, I don't think he'd enter a race he didn't think he could realistically win. He's a damn fast swimmer, we know he can ride... if he can hold up against the stronger runners with the lead he gets on the bike, it'll be close.

Front of the pack, but not first out of the water.

Will absolutely crush everyone on the bike except for maybe Chris Lieto

Will not have the fastest run, but will win.  Podium at worst.

Will have all media focused on him even if he doesn't win...

I know it's early, especially in CA, but you can do better.

HA! Yes, I'm sure Trek wouldn't have any problem with that!

That is where the duct tape and black sharp marker will come into play. Sealed

Man this could be interesting.  Amey, Cunningham, Docherty, Henning, Lieto, Tollackson, Reed all in the participant list.  Podium would be a tall order, but possible.  I still wonder if he has enough run mileage under his belt.

I think he hangs on for 6th OA.

I wouldn't be suprised to see him also race Oceanside 70.3 and then IMSG in an effort to earn Kona pro points. Now that the Feds are off his butt, I think this will be the Lance in Kona year.

Maybe, I love the fact that he is training and willing to compete.  Regardless of the outcome, you have to respect the fact that he is willing to give it a go and really challenge himself.  I hope he has fun and sticks around for a bit.

Lance is pretty transparent in his training for the most part he lets us have little peaks into his abilities which is cool. He has not shared other than mileage any speeds power etc. on his bike session though. So look out.

Check out his twitter, he uploads Panama from Van Halen, good sense of humor.

It would be very cool to see how he does.  He'll be toeing the line with some big boys down there - didn't realize the race was this weekend.  Below from the Triathlete Europe site.

If he does toe the line this Sunday, he’ll find strong competition in friend and fellow cycling star Chris Lieto, as well as Rasmus Henning, T.J. Tollakson, Bert Jammaer, Matty Reed and Jesse Thomas.

I'm very interested to see how he does.  I think it would be an interesting thing if he were to do really well (whatever that means).

Reguardless of how he does, it will be good for the sport.  Lance did great things for pro cycling viewership, and I would expect the same for the Tri community.  It's all about TV time, and ratings.

I'm just waiting for the "I Tri with Lance" Stickers...
