Just got my pearl izumi P.R.O. tri shorts in the mail, put them on and lo and behold, there is my weiner. I expected a bulge, but not definition! Seriously, it's all there.  My question is, is this the case with all tri shorts? Is this just somethin you gotta get over. I have worn my underarmour tights underneath with no problem, but have read that this will cause major chaffing. Educate me please!

Considering I have been known to stuff a banana in my tri shorts to impress the ladies, I'd say you have a good problem.

Don't worry. They shrink.

I can't help but think of that Seinfeld episode..."I was in the POOL! I was in the POOL!!"

You could duct tape it down if your that self conscious about it. At events, pool, rides no one cares. If you go to the library in them that is a different story.

Of course if you really do find it to be a problem there is a solution.   Just tuck it under.  Worked for this guy...

This is not the case will all tri shorts.  Black is the least revealing.  I have seen some very light ones that are almost transparent.  You can also pull your number belt a little lower for the Tarzan look.

They are black, oh well no biggie. Just wondered if that's par for the course. I will just plan to just throw my race bib over top of the boys.

Bwahaha. The only people that will get a good look are competitors that have to turn around and come back.  You aren't going to let people lap you are ya? And if you fly through your transitions you wont even give the spectators a good show.

Seriously though, you could always place your race belt strategically so your bib covers you up.

I must say that the subject of the post really piqued my interest ... and gave me a good laugh. Glad I'm not the only self conscious one out there. I still haven't quite gotten over the fact that whatever brand of tri shorts I wear - and always black - you can see my butt crack right through the back.

This is the reason I always leave my race belt/number on until I'm safely back in my car; I forgot to do this once when my in-laws came to watch me race and I suddenly realized no-one knew where to look, lots of staring into the distance and embarrassed expressions...!

I've noticed that quite a few women's bike shorts become see-thru when they're in the aero position, I like that

Ha! I love it.

Please just make sure to spell it correctly: it's WIENER.

"Weiner" isn't an English word, but it would mean crybaby. Trust me, you want WIENER (on the sign).
