Also when driving near Quantico, I saw a Marine Virginia specialty plate:

Group W

I almost ran off the road laughing.

I think I get it, but not 100% sure.  

There was a guy I used to work with who bought a yellow SUV.  He had several kids so thought it would be cute to get "SHRTBUS" for his license plate.  He had no idea of the double entendre. (which is probably a good thing)

A friend of mine had a little stuffed kitten on her monitor with "You're Special" on a board the kitten was carrying in its mouth. Apparently she got it from her boyfriend/fiancé/husband as time went on he was all of those to her. I walked by one day and said, "Ohhh, just like Jerry's Kids"

She never forgave me.

I am not sure it is social circles, but understand what you are saying.  My daughters are 19 and 23 and both have heard the song, but not sure if they would have caught the reference.  But, they have also listened to pretty much everything there is out there because of my family and music.  I know people that are my age that would not have gotten the reference.
