Subject: TOTW Wish List

I got a tweet the other day about a TDF for "regular Joes". I just can't get my head off it. Maybe Rocket will do it with me haha.

Bike tour of Napa Valley would be pretty amazing.

Any European based IM (Switzerland or Austria)

There was also this race somewhere near New York where it goes bike, swim, run, swim, run. Point to point (you carry your shoes with you on the swim). Sounds like a bad- way to mix it up.

S.O.S and Norseman are up there on that list, both are pretty bad sounding.

I'd just want to do an Ironman in Germany... not sure which one but I think that'd be really cool. Not too extravagant but It'd make me happy haha.

Those are the only ones left on my list.  Won't do another Ironman distance until after my daughter graduates from HS, so 2016 Vineman.  (Lanzarote is the regardless of the cost race, not sure if I'll do it.)  In the meantime, I'm working on the first one listed for the next few years.

P.S. Alcatraz is AWESOME.  That's my favorite race of all time. Done it 2X and plan to do it again in 2 years when I age up.

I would be totally in for a TDF for "regular joes", that is right up my alley.

 

I honestly don't have any "dream events" left. If someone gave me a number or I somehow got into Kona of course I would do it, but it doesn't hold the allure and mystic that it once did. I don't even watch it on TV anymore, I just follow it online until the pro race is done.

I have done 4x Ironman (5 if you count my DNF at Great Floridian due to strep) so that box has been checked. I don't have any desire to do any of the North American ones that I haven't already done (IMFL-I've done Gulf Coast 8 times basically the same race x2, IMAZ-to late in the year, IMNYC-goat rope waiting to happen, IMTX-too hot, etc)

I was lucky enough to do 70.3 Worlds in 2008 in Clearwater so that box is checked as well.

I think that the only thing I haven't done that I would like to do is represent the US at an International race (ITU SC or LC Worlds, Duathlon Worlds)

21 day "tour" ride across America. Seattle to Hampton VA. I almost pulled the trigger before kids.  I still want to do it.

Kona - Why not dream!

Full TdF tour ride and touring.  I want to climb all the monuments!

Ditto but I'm the opposite!  I did IMFL and I'm a heat/hill girl.  I asked myself this very question, answer was simple: IMLOU didnt exist yet and I wanted to drive to the race.  That was the closest one.

If time and money were not a factor, I would have to say

Panama (republic of) 70.3 - always wanted to go there so why not race there too?

Rev 3 Maine. I have family up there and it's just freaking beautiful (And a lobster roll recovery meal!)

Miami marathon . Missed it last year despite paying for it, and want to visit the mom and recover in the keys. This will probably happen this time in 2013
