They already had a Jedi training school at the studio park. When we were there we all got our pictures taken with Darth Vader, too. I'm sure there will be more of a Star Wars presence now though.

I am excited,shocked , confused, and scared.

They could be really cool or they could be disney.  Though I thought John Carter was good so it might be ok.

They already have all that stuff.

There's a lot of cross-pollenation.  I think this may have been in the works for a while.

I just can't believe there'll be an episode 7.

Didn't the rebels win?  That would make an Ep 7 pretty boring...

But refer to The Official Rules of Modern Movie Making

Rule 1: There are no new ideas.

Rule 2: If 10 years have passed, you can remake something.

Rule 3: If something is the highest grossing movie ever, change the stars and release it again.

Rule 4: There are no new ideas.

When the "Phantom Meance" came out three of my students stood in line over night (pre midnight showings) to be the first to see it and skipped school to do so. Their pictures made the front page along with the staement that they were missing school to do so.

When theywalked in with the notes from their mothers the principal met them with the front page of the local paper.

One night of detention and the claim that "It was totally worth it"

I am certain that they will be first in line for these films as well.

Phantom Menace was the weakest of the 6 episodes in my opinion...but I still LOVED seeing it in the theater.  If Disney messes up Star Wars I will not be a happy camper.

Episode 3 was way worse.  The way they depicted Anakin going from whiny teenager to whiny mass child murderer in 2.3 seconds was truly awful to watch.

Really? I mean the first ones (ep 3,4,5) were good, and my wife's favourite movies (and empire was in my top ten), but the first three? They were really bad. The die hards will go watch anything to do with star wars but it will only cheapen the name of the good original three in my opinion.

Now a star wars theme park, that's a whole nother kettle of fish. I would go to that for sure.

One of my buddies did his Business School final report on Disney in 2000.  He said back then they had 10 cents of every entertainment dollar spent in the World.

I don't know what it is today.

I guess Aussies have a different numbering system.

Ep 4 is the first one, Ep 6 is Return of the Jedi.

Gosh!

With any luck, we'll see Britney Spears as Princess Leia.  She'd look good with the hair buns.

It ain't about the hair buns. It's about the slave girl outfit in the domain of Jabba the Hut. And Brittany's a little past her expiration date for that.

I think it actually might be cool to see the original cast 30 years in the future. Hopefully that is the intent.

It seems that most here don't realize that the story for everything after Ep. 6 has already gone long into the future through the written word.

yeah, I am kind of confused.

Although, even though it is the future, it is still the past.

It's a sly ploy by Fox News to keep the liberal vote scurrying for information about the new "trilogy" instead of voting.

No way man! (in my nerdiest whine possible)    I loved Episode 3.  I really did.  Anakin was seduced by the dark side, and I loved how the emperor managed the transformation.  As a kid I always wondered why Anakin chose to go to the dark side...the movie did a very good job of showing why.  Granted, Hayden Christiansen's acting abilities aint too strong, but he was best in Episode 3 by far.
