Caballero looks so strong and powerful.  Beautiful form.  That's motivating.

Lead pack is 32 seconds behind her and apparently Cabellero is running "conservatively".  wow.

ETA:Her cadence is currently in the low 80s.  That's interesting.

tkos - 2013-04-15 9:58 AM I wouldn't call Callabero's form that beautiful for a marathoner. But if it works for her great.

???

Really???

I like how powerful it looks.  And, yes, it certainly does seem to be working.

Big, bold move by Felix.

This could get good...

I wonder what it feels like to run repeat 5:30s over 26.2 miles?

Actually, I wonder what it feels like to run one 5:30 mile.

The woman who started a nonprofit to help homeless people run? AWESOME!  Brilliant idea.

Totally!

Very interesting group to watch from the side shots.  Lots of different foot strikes in some of shots I've seen.

I know!  That was hilarious!!

A Canadian hasn't won since 1977 or something?   Somehow I don't think it will happen for my fellow Canuck this year either.

On another note - wow is Ana dulce Felix ever impressive!

When things look powerful, they are rarely efficient. When things look graceful, they often are.

She may very well get a good finish, but this is often the reason why runners fail as they get near the end of the run. You can get away with a lot in short races.

I don't know, man.  I hear what you're saying, but if you're in the lead group at all at Boston, you've spent enough miles figuring out what's most efficient for your body.  Maybe it's not enough to win Boston today, but it's still hard to argue with the efficiency of repeat 5:30s, especially on a challenging course like this.

5'6.5" and 119lbs for the average of top marathon men?

Well that makes me feel better.

Sort of, in the not genetically possible kind of way.
