So I've read this AM. Anyone celebrating? Dunkin Donuts is giving away freebies with a beverage purchase.

Didn't even know until I got there this morning. Medium regular and a blueberry cake donut. Not a bad morning.

"A" donut??? That's just an insult to such a glorious holiday! I had 4, two glazed and two chocolate iced!

That explains the line at the local donut shop this morning.  I was going to pick up a dozen for the office and a kolache for myself, but I'm not spending 20 minutes in line.

Not for me.  Donut day means lines and running day saved me $20 on a race I was planning on doing.

I actually ran on running day, so I feel like I need to go get a donut for donut day.  It only makes sense.

Someone in our office brought some in. I felt it was my civic duty to partake and have two.

Sadly I've found that the sugar spike from donuts bonks me on runs so I've given them up :-(

Is it a good thing that I'd rather go for a run than eat a donut?!

If I've run seven times this week, including twice on Wednesday and once today, how many donuts can I have?

None, you're way to healthy running that much. The sugary goodness will kill you.

I did intervals on Wednesday so I have to eat Donut Holes quickly with only a short break in between each one .

Disappointingly I had ZERO donuts on National Donut day. However, today I am happy to report I have already had two before lunch. Hopefully I can get in a third sometime later this afternoon. My boss brought in boatloads of Dunkin Donuts for his birthday so there is an endless supply. I figured I swam 3200 yards this morning and ran 4 miles at lunch so i think 3 donuts is COMPLETELY acceptable.
