went by the aquatic center today since my pool was being lame about the thunder storm that rolled through an hour before. the service road is bad. very muddy and the wash out ditch is deeper than last year.

I was afraid that would be the case. The storm today won't help much either. I just hope it stays dry between now and the race.

You will only be on the bad section for less than 10% of the run; the rest is paved. But since it is a loop you run up it and down it twice. Easy to roll an ankle if you aren't careful. Hopefully it is dry until then.

Ok. I won't be too worried about it then. Might use my old pair of sneaks though. Thanks for the info!

T,

Make sure you figure out the course maps. The first year I did the race I ended up running 4.5 miles. It's not nearly as well marked as my bike routes.

FINALLY got my aerojacket on my wheel and working properlyish. still a little frame rub.. but i think thats the frames fault. did have to sand the hole to open it up on the jacket since it wasn't large enough or quite in center. then i had to back all of the fasteners off or it deformed the cover a lot and led to a lot of hitting on the frame...

should have done this before tonight.

good luck tomorrow everyone.

Haha! I'll be doing 6 miles with my luck! I'm gonna try my best to keep myself on course tomorrow!

Awesome event! You're right though. The run leg sucks with rutted out trail.
